No entanto, o modelo de risco-proteção postula que este depende da combinação de riscos e recursos. O objetivo foi analisar os potenciais factores de risco e de proteção em função do sexo, da idade e do estado, em estudantes com idades compreendidas entre os 13 e os 21 anos na Cidade do México e no Estado do México. O Inquérito de Perceção dos Jovens sobre a COVID-19 foi administrado em linha, consistindo em oito factores ou áreas (por exemplo, pressões escolares, dinâmica familiar, medidas preventivas, mudança de rotinas, socialização virtual, relaxamento) e um formulário de consentimento informado. As análises multivariadas (MANOVA) mostraram diferenças significativas na percepção da pandemia por sexo nas dimensões medo do contágio e pressões escolares, enquanto na dimensão mudança de hábitos as diferenças foram observadas por estado, sexo e idade. Houve também efeitos da interação sexo*estado sobre o medo do contágio, e efeitos da interação idade*estado sobre o medo do contágio, estresse e mudança de hábitos, e efeitos da interação sexo*idade*estado apenas sobre o medo do contágio. &#8203;Em conclusão, as mulheres obtiveram pontuações mais elevadas em todos os factores do que os homens, especialmente entre os 16 e os 18 anos. Estes resultados corroboram as conclusões anteriores e podem servir de base para programas de intervenção em função do género, da idade e do estatuto.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN La pandemia de COVID-19 es un evento estresante no normativo y un riesgo para el funcionamiento psicológico de los adolescentes. Sin embargo, el modelo de riesgo-protección plantea que ello depende de la combinación de riesgos y recursos. El objetivo fue analizar factores potenciales de riesgo y protección en función del sexo, edad y entidad de origen, en estudiantes de 13 a 21 años de la Ciudad de México y el Estado de México. Se aplicó en línea la Encuesta de Percepción Juvenil del COVID-19 conformada por ocho factores o áreas (p.e. Presiones escolares, Dinámica familiar, Medidas preventivas, Cambio de rutinas, Socialización virtual, Relajación) y un consentimiento informado. Los análisis multivariados (MANOVA) mostraron diferencias significativas en la percepción de la pandemia por sexo en miedo al contagio y presiones escolares, y en la dimensión de cambio de hábitos las diferencias se observaron por estado, por sexo y por edad. También hubo efectos de interacción sexo*estado en miedo al contagio, y efectos de interacción edad*estado en miedo al contagio, estrés y cambio de hábitos, y efectos de interacción sexo*edad*estado sólo en miedo al contagio. En conclusión, las mujeres más altos puntajes en todos los factores que los hombres, en especial las de 16 a 18 años. Estos hallazgos son similares a lo reportado en investigaciones previas y podrían ser la base de programas de intervención de acuerdo con el sexo, edad y estado.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The COVID-19 pandemic is a non-normative stressful event and a risk to adolescent psychological functioning. However, the risk-protection model posits that this depends on the combination of risks and resources. The objective was to analyze potential risk and protective factors as a function of sex, age and state, in students aged 13 to 21 years in Mexico City and the State of Mexico. The COVID-19 Youth Perception Survey was applied online and consisted of eight factors or areas (e.g., School pressures, Family dynamics, Preventive measures, Change of routines, Virtual socialization, Relaxation) and an informed consent form. Multivariate analyses (MANOVA) showed significant differences in the perception of the pandemic by sex in the dimensions of fear of contagion and school pressures, while in the dimension of change of habits the differences were observed by state, sex and age. There were also sex*state interaction effects on fear of contagion, and age*state interaction effects on fear of contagion, stress and change of habits, and sex*age*state interaction effects only on fear of contagion. In conclusion, females scored higher on all factors than males, especially those aged 16 to 18 years. These findings are similar to previous research and could be the basis for intervention programs according to sex, age and status.]]></p></abstract>
