A pesquisa tem como fundamentos teórico-metodológicos o paradigma interpretativo, a abordagem qualitativa, do tipo exploratória quanto ao objetivo e aplicada quanto à natureza. O método foi o estudo de casos múltiplos, com uso de entrevistas semiestruturadas com gestores, professores e alunos. Realizou-se também pesquisa bibliográfica para diálogo com os achados de campo. Os resultados obtidos foram trabalhados a partir da análise de conteúdo e constatou-se que embora as condições de acesso à educação estejam asseguradas, as condições de atendimento dos alunos são permeadas por dificuldades diversas, desde a infraestrutura física dos prédios, transporte escolar, professores e que as condições de contexto externo associadas às limitações sociais e econômicas tolhem a capacidade de escolha da trajetória escolar dos jovens. Observou-se que as escolas fomentam uma série de ações no sentido de mobilizar os alunos e proporcionar espaços que favoreçam posturas protagonistas por parte deles, estimulando o exercício da cidadania e do protagonismo juvenil. No entanto, as situações constatadas nas três escolas que atendem a população rural, evidenciam que o poder público, apesar do esforço, não tem conseguindo assegurar a redução das desigualdades e o cumprimento dos preceitos constitucionais na garantia do direito à educação de qualidade.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The articleaimstoinvestigatehowthreeschools in the interior of Ceará, which serve studentsfrom rural locations, havestimulatedthedevelopmentofcitizenshipandstudentprotagonism. The researchhas as theoreticalandmethodologicalfoundationstheinterpretiveparadigm, thequalitative approach, ofexploratorytype as totheobjectiveandapplied as tothenature. The methodwas a multiple case study, usingsemi-structured interviews with managers, teachers, andstudents. A bibliographicresearchwasalsocarried out to dialogue withthefieldfindings. The resultsobtainedwereworkedfromthecontentanalysisand it wasfoundthatalthoughtheconditionsofaccesstoeducation are ensured, theconditionsofstudents' attendance are permeatedbyvariousdifficulties, fromthephysicalinfrastructureofthebuildings, schooltransportation, teachers, andthattheconditionsoftheexternalcontextassociatedwith social andeconomiclimitationshindertheabilitytochoosetheyoungpeople'sschool path. <abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN El artículo tiene como objetivo investigar cómo tres escuelas del interior de Ceará, que atienden a estudiantes de zonas rurales, han estimulado el desarrollo de la ciudadanía y el protagonismo estudiantil.La investigación tiene como fundamentos teóricos y metodológicos el paradigma interpretativo, el abordaje cualitativo, de tipo exploratorio en cuanto al objetivo y aplicado en cuanto a la naturaleza. El método fue el estudio de casos múltiples, mediante entrevistas semiestructuradas a gestores, profesores y alumnos. También se realizó investigación bibliográfica para dialogar con los hallazgos de campo. Los resultados obtenidos fueron trabajados a partir del análisis de contenido y se constató que aunque las condiciones de acceso a la educación estén aseguradas, las condiciones de asistencia de los alumnos están permeadas por diversas dificultades, desde la infraestructura física de los edificios, el transporte escolar, los profesores y que las condiciones de contexto externo asociadas a las limitaciones sociales y económicas dificultan la capacidad de elección del trayecto escolar de los jóvenes. Se observó que las escuelas incentivan una serie de acciones para movilizar a los estudiantes y proporcionan espacios que favorecen actitudes protagónicas de su parte, estimulando el ejercicio de la ciudadanía y el protagonismo juvenil. Sin embargo, las situaciones encontradas en las tres escuelas que atienden a la población rural muestran que los poderes públicos, a pesar del esfuerzo, no consiguen garantizar la reducción de las desigualdades y el cumplimiento de los preceptos constitucionales en la garantía del derecho a una educación de calidad.]]></p></abstract>
