Será abordada, ainda, a importância do gestor educacional como figura de frente no contexto escolar, dada sua maior autonomia e maior poder de decisão que seus pares, o que o coloca como principal personagem na mobilização de ações para o enfrentamento, o combate e a prevenção aos atos violentos no ambiente escolar. Este fato nos leva a crer que não se pode conceber essa luta sem considerar a forte presença e atuação desse profissional.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This article is guided by a reflection on the continuous worsening of violence in schools, and the actions and initiatives taken to combat this phenomenon. It addresses the importance of the educational manager as a key figure in the school context, given the greater autonomy and power of decision-making of this individual over his/her colleagues, which gives him/her a leading role in the mobilization of actions to confront, combat and prevent acts of violence in the school. This fact leads us to believe that this struggle cannot be adequately dealt with without the strong presence and action this professional.]]></p></abstract>
