Tem como objeto de an&#225;lise te&#243;rica o contexto econ&#244;mico neoliberal, a reestrutura&#231;&#227;o produtiva e a rela&#231;&#227;o educa&#231;&#227;o e desenvolvimento que tem como pano de fundo a teoria do capital humano. Os resultados desta an&#225;lise sugerem a hip&#243;tese que n&#227;o seria poss&#237;vel discutir as atuais pol&#237;ticas voltadas para a educa&#231;&#227;o a dist&#226;ncia fora do contexto neoliberal e da teoria do capital humano. E ambos adotam nessa sociedade um sistema intencionalmente desigual, individualista, competitivo, somado a uma concep&#231;&#227;o economicista de educa&#231;&#227;o que seja apenas capaz de alimentar o processo de acumula&#231;&#227;o do capital pelas elites. Se se quiserem transforma&#231;&#245;es educacionais qualitativas, &#233; necess&#225;rio romper com a l&#243;gica do capital, modificando radicalmente as rela&#231;&#245;es de poder e do sistema de produ&#231;&#227;o. ]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This text is discusses the subject of distance education associated with the theory of human capital. Its theoretical objects of analysis are the neoliberal economic context, productive restructuring, and the relationship between education and development, underpinned by the theory of human capital. The results of this analysis suggest that it may not be possible to discuss the current policies for distance education outside the neoliberal context and the theory of human capital. In this society, both adopt a system that is intentionally unequal, individualistic, and competitive, along with an economic concept of education that is merely feeds the process of accumulation of wealth by the elite. If we want quality educational transformation, we must break away from the logic of capital, radically changing the power relations and the production system.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen: Este texto est&#225; destinado a discutir el tema de la educaci&#243;n a distancia asociado a la teor&#237;a del capital humano. Tiene como objeto de an&#225;lisis te&#243;rico el contexto econ&#243;mico neoliberal, la reestructuraci&#243;n productiva y la relaci&#243;n entre la educaci&#243;n y el desarrollo con el trasfondo de la teor&#237;a del capital humano. Los resultados de este an&#225;lisis sugieren la hip&#243;tesis de que no ser&#237;a posible discutir las pol&#237;ticas actuales para la educaci&#243;n a distancia fuera del contexto neoliberal y la teor&#237;a del capital humano. Y ambos adoptan en esta sociedad un sistema intencionadamente desigual, individualista, competitivo, adem&#225;s de una concepci&#243;n economicista de la educaci&#243;n que solo es capaz de alimentar el proceso de acumulaci&#243;n de capital por las &#233;lites. Si queremos transformaciones educativas de calidad es necesario romper con la l&#243;gica del capital, un cambio radical de las relaciones de poder y del sistema de producci&#243;n.]]></p></abstract>
