A pesquisa, de abordagem qualitativa, foi realizada em uma escola de ensino médio do município de Blumenau, utilizando-se, como técnica de produção dos dados, a observação do cotidiano escolar, a análise documental e entrevistas com uma gestora, uma professora e uma estudante cega. Com base no modelo social da deficiência e considerando a importância da participação das pessoas com deficiência na construção do conhecimento sobre sua realidade, os resultados buscaram evidenciar a narrativa e as perspectivas da estudante sobre sua trajetória escolar. Com isso, foi possível observar que os processos de inclusão/exclusão escolar dependem dos modos como os diferentes atores concebem e lidam com a deficiência que, por sua vez, constrói-se a partir das interações entre a estudante e os outros.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The present article aimed to analyze the process of social construction of difference in school, especially that of disability - stigmatized difference, inferiorized and historically marginalized - and the ways in which people with disabilities live the school reality. The research, with a qualitative approach, was carried out in a high school in the city of Blumenau, using the daily school observations as data production technique, as well as documentary analysis and interviews with a school coordinator, a teacher and a blind student. Based on the social model of disability and the importance of the participation of people with disability in the construction of knowledge about their own reality, the results sought to highlight the narrative and perspectives of the student about her school trajectory. It was possible to observe that the processes of school inclusion/exclusion depend on the ways in which different actors conceive and deal with disability, which, in turn, is built up from the interactions between the student and the others.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El presente artículo tuvo por objetivo analizar el proceso de construcción social de la diferencia en la escuela, en especial de la deficiencia - diferencia estigmatizada, inferiorizada e históricamente marginada - y los modos como la persona con discapacidad vive la realidad escolar. La investigación, de abordaje cualitativo, fue realizada en una escuela de enseñanza media del municipio de Blumenau, utilizando, como técnica de producción de los datos, la observación del cotidiano escolar, el análisis documental y entrevistas con una gestora, una profesora y una estudiante ciega. Con base en el modelo social de la discapacidad y en la importancia de la participación de las personas con discapacidad en la construcción del conocimiento sobre su realidad, los resultados buscaron evidenciar la narrativa y las perspectivas de la estudiante sobre su trayectoria escolar. Fue posible observar que los procesos de inclusión/ exclusión escolar dependen de los modos en que los diferentes actores conciben y lidan con la discapacidad que, a su vez, se construye a partir de las interacciones entre la estudiante y los demás.]]></p></abstract>
