<self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2176-66812016000300519&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2176-66812016000300519&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2176-66812016000300519&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo: Acreditando que as crian&#231;as das camadas populares t&#234;m direito de vivenciar situa&#231;&#245;es nas quais possam, na escola, refletir sobre textos de diferentes g&#234;neros escritos, principalmente os liter&#225;rios, e sobre os princ&#237;pios do sistema de escrita alfab&#233;tica, objetiva-se discutir o ensino e a aprendizagem da linguagem escrita envolvendo meninos e meninas de 5 anos. Para isso, foram acompanhadas duas turmas na &#250;ltima etapa da educa&#231;&#227;o infantil durante um ano letivo. Nota-se que aquelas crian&#231;as que puderam explorar narrativas de fic&#231;&#227;o, cantigas rimadas e outros textos da tradi&#231;&#227;o oral, al&#233;m de jogos fonol&#243;gicos, apresentaram progressos marcantes. Conclui-se que, quando o tema &#233; o lugar da escrita na educa&#231;&#227;o infantil, &#233; importante n&#227;o se ater &#224;s duas posi&#231;&#245;es que t&#234;m polarizado o debate: a alfabetiza&#231;&#227;o precoce com m&#233;todos tradicionais ou a supress&#227;o do ensino da l&#237;ngua escrita e de sua nota&#231;&#227;o, em nome de preservar-se a ludicidade naquela fase da educa&#231;&#227;o b&#225;sica.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: We believe that working class children have the right to fully experience situations in which they can reflect upon texts on different written genres, mainly literary ones, and upon the principles of the alphabetic writing system. Thus, our aim is to discuss the teaching and learning of written language involving five-year-old boys and girls. Therefore, we followed two last term pre-school class groups during a school year. We observed that those children who explored narrative tales, rhyming songs and other texts of oral tradition, as well as phonological games, experienced a significant progress. We conclude that as to writing, we must avoid the two positions that have polarized the debate over that issue: early literacy with traditional methods and the suppression of written language teaching and its notation, in the name of preserving recreation during pre-school.]]></p></abstract>
