Em seguida, analisa algumas proposições presentes em documentos amplamente reconhecidos na esfera da discussão Bioética, procurando mostrar que, a partir deles, várias discussões podem ser conduzidas. Por fim, considerando as rápidas transformações tecnológicas e científicas no âmbito das biociências e a emergência de questões polêmicas, como a eutanásia e os direitos sexuais e reprodutivos, defende a inserção da discussão sobre Bioética na educação escolar, sobretudo no ensino médio. Tal inserção é pensada em termos interdisciplinares, de modo a envolver os professores das diferentes disciplinas e possibilitar a abordagem de temáticas atuais que não devem ser ignoradas nos processos de formação intelectual e moral dos estudantes. O referencial teórico-metodológico que dá suporte ao estudo é a abordagem da ética feita por Chaïm Perelman com base em uma perspectiva pluralista, que põe em relevo a importância dos processos argumentativos no confronto entre visões conflitantes.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This article seeks to situate initially as bioethics is understood in social and epistemological terms nowadays, showing that their presence in Brazilian basic education is still in its embryonic stages. It then looks at some propositions present in documents widely recognized in the field of bioethics debate, seeking to show that from them several discussions can be conducted. Finally, considering the rapid technological and scientific changes within the life sciences and the emergence of controversial issues, like euthanasia, and sexual and reproductive rights, supports the inclusion of bioethics debates in school education, especially in high school. This insertion is thought in interdisciplinary terms so as to involve teachers from different disciplines and enable current thematic approach that should not be ignored in the intellectual and moral formation of students. The theoretical-methodological support is the approach of ethics made by Chaïm Perelman based on a pluralistic perspective, which highlights the importance of the argumentative procedures in the confrontation between conflicting views.]]></p></abstract>
