Pretende-se, principalmente, focalizar a inter-rela&#231;&#227;o entre a hist&#243;ria a ser ensinada e a nacionaliza&#231;&#227;o, haja vista a centraliza&#231;&#227;o do governo federal voltada para tal finalidade, seja na administra&#231;&#227;o, nos programas e na fiscaliza&#231;&#227;o. Do Minist&#233;rio da Educa&#231;&#227;o provinham instru&#231;&#245;es de combate &#224;s diferentes manifesta&#231;&#245;es de culturas estrangeiras existentes no Brasil, especialmente os usos da l&#237;ngua e o ensino da hist&#243;ria e da geografia dos pa&#237;ses de onde os diferentes grupos &#233;tnicos haviam emigrado. As fontes documentais s&#227;o constitu&#237;das por material bibliogr&#225;fico, especialmente discursos de obras de Jonathas Serrano, um dos porta-vozes de determinada concep&#231;&#227;o de hist&#243;ria do per&#237;odo e um dos formuladores de discursos e programas da pol&#237;tica oficial, recortes da legisla&#231;&#227;o educacional e relat&#243;rios de inspetores escolares.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This article identified the influence and the interrelation of policies and educational theories of the national State, in speeches about which History must to be taught and what for, in the state of Santa Catarina, in the first half of the 20th century. It is intended mainly to focus on the interrelation between the History that will be taught and the nationalization, given the centralization of the federal Government for this purpose - whether in the Administration, programs and monitoring. From the Ministry of Education came instructions to fight against different manifestations of the foreign cultures existing in Brazil, especially the uses of language and the teaching of History and Geography in countries where the different ethnic groups came from. The documentary sources consist of bibliographical material, especially speeches of Jonathas Serrano, one of the spokesmen of a particular conception of History of the period and one of the formulators of speeches and official policy programs, clippings of educational legislation, and reports of school inspectors.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Este art&#237;culo tiene el objetivo de identificar la influencia y la interrelaci&#243;n de las pol&#237;ticas y teor&#237;as educacionales del Estado nacional, en los discursos sobre cu&#225;l historia ense&#241;ar y para qu&#233; ense&#241;ar, en Santa Catarina-Brasil, en la primera mitad del siglo XX. Se pretende, principalmente, focalizar la interrelaci&#243;n entre la historia a ser ense&#241;ada y la nacionalizaci&#243;n, teniendo en consideraci&#243;n la centralizaci&#243;n del gobierno federal dirigida para tal finalidad, sea en la administraci&#243;n, en los programas y en la fiscalizaci&#243;n. Del Ministerio de la Educaci&#243;n proven&#237;an instrucciones de combate a las diferentes manifestaciones de culturas extranjeras existentes en Brasil, especialmente los usos de la lengua y la ense&#241;anza de la historia y de la geograf&#237;a de los pa&#237;ses de donde los diferentes grupos &#233;tnicos hab&#237;an emigrado. Las fuentes documentales son constituidas por material bibliogr&#225;fico, especialmente discursos de obras de Jonathas Serrano, uno de los portavoces de determinada concepci&#243;n de historia del per&#237;odo y uno de los formuladores de discursos y programas de la pol&#237;tica oficial, recortes de la legislaci&#243;n educacional e informes de inspectores escolares.]]></p></abstract>
