O que este jornalzinho teria a ver com aqueles que anos mais tarde foram popularizados por Decroly e Freinet e incorporados &#224;s escolas prim&#225;rias brasileiras como parte das associa&#231;&#245;es auxiliares da escola? Esta quest&#227;o constituiu-se no fio condutor desta reflex&#227;o hist&#243;rica, buscando ind&#237;cios que contribuam para a discuss&#227;o acerca do ensino ativo, carro-chefe da pedagogia moderna, e da escola ativa, principal bandeira da Escola Nova. Para tanto, analisa principais temas pautados pela gazeta A Escola quais sejam: o patriotismo republicano e a civilidade burguesa.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This study examines two copies of the newspaper The School, published by the School Group Jer&#244;nimo Coelho, Laguna, South of Santa Catarina in 1916. What would this newspaper have to do with those that years later were popularized by Decroly and Freinet and incorporated to Brazilian primary schools as part of the auxiliary school associations? This question was the thread of this historical reflection, seeking clues that would contribute to the discussion of active teaching, flagship of modern pedagogy, and active school, main feature of Progressive Education. Therefore, it analyzes the main themes debated by the newspaper The School such as: republican patriotism and bourgeois civility.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[El presente estudio analiza dos ejemplares del peri&#243;dico La Escuela, vehiculado en el Grupo Escolar Jer&#244;nimo Coelho, de Laguna, Sur de Santa Catarina, en 1916. &#191;Este periodiquito qu&#233; tendr&#237;a que ver con aquellos que a&#241;os m&#225;s tarde fueron popularizados por Decroly y Freinet e incorporados a las escuelas primarias brasile&#241;as como parte de las asociaciones auxiliares de la escuela? Esta pregunta constituye el hilo conductor de esta reflexi&#243;n hist&#243;rica, buscando indicios que contribuyan para la discusi&#243;n acerca de la ense&#241;anza activa, insignia de la pedagog&#237;a moderna, y de la escuela activa, principal bandera de la Nueva Escuela. Por lo tanto, analiza principales temas pautados por el peri&#243;dico La Escuela los cuales son: el patriotismo republicano y la civilidad burguesa.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="fr"><p><![CDATA[La pr&#233;sente &#233;tude examine deux exemplaires du journal L'&#201;cole, diffus&#233; sur le Groupe Scolaire Jer&#244;nimo Coelho, de Laguna, au Sud de Santa Catarina en 1916. Qu'est-ce que ce petit journal a &#224; voir avec ceux qui ont &#233;t&#233; popularis&#233;s ans plus tard par Decroly et Freinet et incorpor&#233;s aux &#233;coles primaires dans le cadre des associations auxiliaires de l'&#233;cole? Cette question a &#233;t&#233; le fil conducteur de cette r&#233;flexion historique, recherchant d'indices qui contribueraient &#224; la discussion sur l'enseignement actif, le fleuron de la p&#233;dagogie moderne, et de l'&#233;cole active, principal drapeau de l'&#201;ducation Nouvelle. Pour ce faire, elle analyse les principaux th&#232;mes examin&#233;s par la gazette L'&#201;cole qui sont: le patriotisme r&#233;publicain et la civilit&#233; bourgeoise.]]></p></abstract>
