De mano del reciente quinto centenario de la edición primera de la Utopía de Thomas More se aborda una reflexión sobre su significado histórico en relación con la historia de la educación. Los educadores generaron, en particular desde el siglo de la Ilustración, diversos proyectos teóricos y experiencias pedagógicas innovadoras con acentos utópicos, a las que aquí se hace referencia. Más allá de lo utópico, como algo irrealizable y además, igualmente, de las negativas distopías, se señalan valiosas iniciativas que procuraron la construcción de una nueva humanidad. Construcciones filosóficas y realizaciones pedagógicas que pueden ser memoria fértil para los educadores actuales.]]></p></abstract>

De mão do recente quinto centenário da edição primeira da Utopia de Thomas More aborda-se uma reflexão sobre seu significado histórico em relação com a história da educação. Os educadores geraram, em particular desde o século da Ilustração, diversos projetos teóricos e experiências pedagógicas inovadoras com acentos utópicos, às que aqui se faz referência. Para além do utópico, como algo irrealizável e ademais, igualmente, das negativas distopías, assinalam-se valiosas iniciativas que tentaram a construção de uma nova humanidade. Construções filosóficas e realizações pedagógicas que podem ser memória fértil para os educadores atuais.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Does it make sense to speak of utopias in the field of education? Should educators cultivate utopia? In the hand of the recent fifth centenary of the first edition of Thomas More&#8217;s Utopia, a reflection on its historical significance in relation to the history of education is addressed. The educators generated, especially since the century of the Enlightenment, various theoretical projects and innovative pedagogical experiences with utopian accents, to which reference is made here. Beyond the utopian, as something unrealizable and, likewise, of the negative dystopias, we point out valuable initiatives that sought the construction of a new humanity. Philosophical constructions and pedagogical realizations that can be fertile memory for present educators.]]></p></abstract>

De main du récent cinquième centenaire de l&#8217;édition première de l&#8217;Utopie de Thomas More s&#8217;aborde une réflexion sur sa signification historique en relation avec l&#8217;histoire de l&#8217;éducation. Les éducateurs ont généré, en particulier depuis le siècle de l&#8217;Illustration, divers projets théoriques et des expériences pédagogiques innovantes avec des accents utopiques, auquel il est fait référence ici. Au-delà de l'utopie, comme quelque chose inatteignable et, aussi, des négatives dystopies, sont des initiatives intéressantes qui ont cherché à construire une nouvelle humanité. Constructions philosophiques et réalisations pédagogiques qui peuvent être la mémoire fertile pour les éducateurs actuels.]]></p></abstract>
