As conclus&#245;es apresentadas s&#227;o resultado da pesquisa documental e bibliogr&#225;fica e da an&#225;lise dos dados estat&#237;sticos oficiais do Governo, do Minist&#233;rio da Educa&#231;&#227;o e do Instituto Nacional de Estat&#237;sticas. O trabalho foi realizado no &#226;mbito da tese de doutoramento em Ci&#234;ncias da Educa&#231;&#227;o, apresentada no departamento de Teoria da Educa&#231;&#227;o, Hist&#243;ria da Educa&#231;&#227;o e Pedagogia Social da Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, Espanha.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Assuming that education must be understood in its dynamic relationship with the social structure, this paper analyzes the evolution of the Cape Verde education system in three different socio-historical periods: colonial, post-independence and democratic transition period. The conclusions presented are the results of do cumentary and bibliographic research and the analysis of official government statistics of the Ministry of Education and the National Institute of Statistics, as a part of the PhD thesis in Educational Sciences, presented at the Department of Theory and History of Education and Social Pedagogy at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Si se asume que la educaci&#243;n debe ser entendida en su relaci&#243;n din&#225;mica con la estructura social, buscamos, en este art&#237;culo, analizar la evoluci&#243;n del sistema educativo de Cabo Verde en tres periodos socio hist&#243;ricos diferentes: colonial, post independencia y de la transici&#243;n democr&#225;tica. Las conclusiones que se presentan son los resultados de la investigaci&#243;n documental y bibliogr&#225;fica y del an&#225;lisis de los datos estad&#237;sticos oficiales del Gobierno, del Ministerio de la Educaci&#243;n y del Instituto Nacional de Estad&#237;stica.
