As análises que tecem a escrita foram elaboradas a partir da sistematização de textos publicados em periódicos de ensino. Neste corpus documental, percebe-se que as &#8216;aproximações&#8217; com relação ao tema referem-se às festas que celebram a escola como parte do projeto modernizador das sociedades brasileira e portuguesa. Já os &#8216;distanciamentos&#8217; relacionam-se aos temas das solenidades, como as festas beneficentes portuguesas, ou às datas representativas dos &#8216;heróis&#8217; nacionais e acontecimentos marcantes da história política dos países.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This article proposes the comparative writing of the history of school holidays in Brazil and Portugal in a representative context of the consolidation of public and state educational systems in the two countries, from the turn of the nineteenth century to the twentieth. The analyses that make the writing were elaborated from the systematization of texts published in educational journals and pedagogical manuals. In this documentary corpus, we can see that the approximations related to the theme refer to the festivities that celebrate the school as part of the modernizing project of the Brazilian and Portuguese societies. In turn, the distances are related to the themes of the solemnities, such as the Portuguese charitable parties or the dates representing the national &#8216;heroes&#8217; and important events in the political history of the countries.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen: Este artículo propone la escritura comparada de la historia de las fiestas escolares en Brasil y Portugal en un contexto representativo de la consolidación de los sistemas públicos y estatales de enseñanza en ambos países, en el cambio del siglo XIX al XX. Los análisis que tejen la escritura se elaboraron a partir de la sistematización de textos publicados en periódicos de enseñanza. En este corpus documental, se nota que las aproximaciones sobre el tema se refieren a las fiestas que celebran la escuela como parte del proyecto de modernización de las sociedades brasileñas y portuguesas. Ya los distanciamientos están relacionados con los temas de las solemnidades, como las fiestas de caridad portuguesas o con las fechas representativas de los "héroes" nacionales y hechos importantes de la historia política de los países.]]></p></abstract>
