Essa expans&#227;o &#233; prevista na LDB 9.394/96 e, atualmente, configura-se como meta no Plano Nacional de Educa&#231;&#227;o (2014-2024), recentemente aprovado pela Lei n&#186;. 13.005/14. Assim, considerando-se a atualidade do tema e a forte tend&#234;ncia da amplia&#231;&#227;o do tempo escolar das crian&#231;as, este artigo teve como foco de estudo experi&#234;ncias de escolas em tempo integral no Brasil, dando destaque a duas delas em particular: a do Centro Educacional Carneiro Ribeiro, por seu pioneirismo, e da Escola de Tempo Integral Paulista, por sua contemporaneidade na hist&#243;ria brasileira. Buscou-se, desse modo, refletir sobre o papel da escola a partir das referidas experi&#234;ncias educacionais. Para tanto, foram utilizados como recursos de estudo a an&#225;lise bibliogr&#225;fica e documental. Verificou-se que existe uma rela&#231;&#227;o expl&#237;cita entre o aumento de tempo escolar e o aumento de fun&#231;&#245;es da escola, sobretudo no campo assistencial, no desenvolvimento dos projetos de tempo integral, ao longo da hist&#243;ria brasileira.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The brazilian public school has been faced, with some frequency, with proposals, projects and other experiments aimed at the expansion of the student&#8217;s time at school, notably through the creation of integral time schools. This expansion is expected in the LDB 9394/96 and currently sets a target in the National Education Plan (2014-2024), recently approved by Law n&#186;. 13,005/14. Thus, considering the relevance of the theme and the strong tendency of expansion of integral time school, this paper was to study experiences of focus integral time schools in Brazil, highlighting the two of them in particular: the Centro Educacional Carneiro Ribeiro, for his pioneering, and Escola de Tempo Integral Paulista, in actuality in Brazilian history. It sought to thereby reflect on the role of schools from these educational experiences. To this end, they were used as study analysis bibliographic and documental. It was found that there is an explicit link between the increase in school time and the increase in school functions, especially in the health care field, development of full-time project along the Brazilian history.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN La escuela p&#250;blica brasile&#241;a se ha enfrentado, con cierta frecuencia, con propuestas, proyectos y otros experimentos destinados a la expansi&#243;n del tiempo del estudiante en la escuela, en particular mediante la creaci&#243;n de escuelas de tiempo integral. Esta expansi&#243;n prevista en la LDB 9394/96 y establece actualmente un objetivo en el Plan Nacional de Educaci&#243;n (2014-2024), recientemente aprobado por la Ley n&#186;. 13.005 / 14. Por lo tanto, teniendo en cuenta la relevancia del tema y la fuerte tendencia de la expansi&#243;n del tiempo escolar de los ni&#241;os, este trabajo estudi&#243; las experiencias de las escuelas de tiempo integral en Brasil, destacando dos en particular: el Centro Educacional Carneiro Ribeiro, por suyo pionerismo, y la Escola de Tempo Integral Paulista, por suya actualidad en la historia brasile&#241;a. Se trat&#243; de reflexionar sobre el papel de las escuelas de estas experiencias educativas. Para tanto, se utilizaron como recursos de estudio an&#225;lisis documental y bibliogr&#225;fico. Se encontr&#243; un v&#237;nculo expl&#237;cito entre el aumento del tiempo escolar y el aumento de las funciones escolares, especialmente en el campo de la salud, el desarrollo del proyecto a tiempo integral de las escuelas a lo largo de la historia de Brasil.]]></p></abstract>
