Inicialmente, aborda-se, de maneira abrangente, um panorama do Pisa relativo aos seguintes aspectos: o que o Pisa investiga e de que maneira; os instrumentos para um bom resultado na avaliação; as notas atribuídas no Pisa e o espaço amostral de estudantes. Em seguida, tratamos da avaliação sobre a perspectiva da Matemática: como ela é analisada, como é constituída, a escala adotada para o exame e, posteriormente, apresentamos os resultados brasileiros sobre esse domínio. Como metodologia, utilizamos a pesquisa qualitativa do tipo descritiva, pautada pela análise documental. Os principais resultados assinalaram a importância de compreender a avaliação para a constituição de uma educação equânime, mesmo quando o seu impacto na esfera pedagógica seja incipiente. Os resultados brasileiros apresentados em cada edição são insatisfatórios, demonstrando necessidade de melhorias desde a formação docente aos investimentos em educação.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The general objective of this article, in which we approach the characterization of the International Student Assessment Program - Pisa -, is to characterize the Pisa Mathematics assessment. Initially, we presented a comprehensive overview of the Pisa regarding the following aspects: what the Pisa investigates and how, the instruments for a good result in the assessment, the grades attributed to the Pisa, and the sample size of students. Then, we deal with the assessment of the Mathematics approach, how it is analyzed, how it is constructed and the scale adopted for the exam, and, later, we present the Brazilian results in this domain. As a methodology, we used descriptive qualitative research, based on the technique of document analysis. The main results highlight the importance of understanding evaluation for the construction of equity education even when its impact on the pedagogical sphere is incipient.]]></p></abstract>
