Inicia con una reflexión sobre la concepción de justicia cognitiva, que amplía la noción de igualdad de oportunidades en la educación, estableciendo la conexión entre educación de personas adultas y Educación Superior. Plantea una hipotética interpretación contemporánea de Paulo Freire acerca de la situación actual de la educación a lo largo de la vida y como ese enfoque podría inspirar una agenda de trabajo internacional para las universidades de Brasil y España. Las consideraciones finales señalan las diferencias en la materialización de propuestas educativas de ambos países, pero destacan como horizonte común la posibilidad de que las personas desarrollen sus capacidades y den sentido a sus vidas a través de la igualdad de oportunidad educativa.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo Este artigo apresenta uma abordagem para o desenvolvimento recente da educação ao longo da vida no âmbito da educação de adultos, nos contextos do Brasil e da Espanha. Começa com uma reflexão sobre a concepção de justiça cognitiva, que amplia a noção de igualdade de oportunidades na educação, estabelecendo a conexão entre educação de adultos e Educação Superior. Levanta uma hipotética interpretação contemporânea de Paulo Freire sobre a situação atual da educação ao longo da vida e como esse enfoque poderia inspirar uma agenda de trabalho internacional para universidades no Brasil e na Espanha. As considerações finais apontam as diferenças na materialização das propostas educacionais de ambos os países, mas destacam como horizonte comum a possibilidade de as pessoas desenvolverem suas capacidades e darem sentido às suas vidas por meio de oportunidades educacionais iguais.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article presents an approximation of the recent development of lifelong education in the framework of adult education in the contexts of Brazil and Spain. It begins with a reflection on the conception of cognitive justice, which broadens the notion of equal opportunities in education, establishing the connection between adult education and Higher Education. It plans a hypothetical contemporary interpretation by Paulo Freire about the current situation of education across the board and how this approach could inspire an international work agenda for the universities of Brazil and Spain. The final considerations show the differences in the materialization of educational propositions in both countries, but stand out as a horizon with the possibility that people develop their capacities and their lives through their equal educational opportunity.]]></p></abstract>
