Nosso texto pretende mostrar o forte caráter religioso facilmente detectável no discurso pedagógico, ainda hoje, suas origens e seu “deslizamento” histórico. Esse discurso pedagógico contemporâneo, que traz uma marca aparentemente leiga e pública, tem, pois, um compromisso com o religioso (católico) e com o privado que se expressa na palavra (no significante), mas que tem desdobramentos numa prática que busca modelos aprisionadores, redentora, salvadora, e sobre tudo missionária.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Among the teacher’s formative elements this article emphasizes that of discourse. It intends to disclose the strong religious character of the pedagogical discourse, still easily detected today, its origins and its historical evolution. The contemporary pedagogic discourse in spite of its obvious public and lay features, is compromised with both the religious (Catholic) and private segments which are expressed through the words it uses (the significant). Such pedagogic discourse encompasses a redemptions Salvationist and missionary practice which brings manipulative models to education.]]></p></abstract>
