O texto em quest&#227;o se tratou do discurso realizado pelo intelectual em agradecimento ao recebimento do t&#237;tulo Honoris Causa, concedido pelo Setor de Ci&#234;ncias Humanas da Universidade Federal do Paran&#225;, em 1982. Para al&#233;m do car&#225;ter comemorativo da obra, percebe-se as concep&#231;&#245;es de ensino defendidas por Pilotto, em especial, o papel concedido aos "mestres de meninos" ou "mestres-escola", que fazem refer&#234;ncia aos professores normalistas. Nesse sentido, em seu discurso, o intelectual faz a defesa da posi&#231;&#227;o deste profissional no campo educacional, procurando definir a atua&#231;&#227;o do professor normalista e do pedagogo. Para efetuar tal investiga&#231;&#227;o, este artigo traz como aporte te&#243;rico as contribui&#231;&#245;es de Pierre Bourdieu sobre trajet&#243;ria e campo, com a finalidade de analisar o lugar ocupado por Pilotto na esfera educacional do estado.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This study analyzes the book &#8220;Mestre de Meninos&#8221; &#8220;The Boys&#8223; Master&#8221; (1983), written by Paran&#225; intellectual and educator Erasmo Pilotto (1910-1992). The book is based on a speech Pilotto gave upon receiving the title of Honoris Causa awarded by the Human Sciences Sector of the Federal University at Paran&#225; in 1982. In addition to the commemorative character of the work, it presents the teaching concepts Pilotto advocated, mainly the role assigned to "boy&#8223;s masters" or &#8220;school masters&#8221;, a reference to elementary school teachers. Pilotto defends the role of these professionals in his effort to define the role of elementary school teachers and pedagogues. The theoretical support for the study were Pierre Bourdieu's contributions on trajectory and field, which were used to analyze the place occupied by Pilotto in the state educational sphere.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El presente estudio tiene como objetivo analizar la obra Mestre de Meninos (1983 y 1984), realizada por el intelectual y educador paranaense Erasmo Pilotto (19101992). El texto en cuesti&#243;n es un discurso realizado por el autor en agradecimiento por haber recibido del ector de iencias umanas de la niversidad Federal de Paran , en 1982, el t tulo onoris ausa. dem s del car cter conmemorativo de la obra, es posible percibir las concepciones de ense anza defendidas por Pilotto, principalmente el papel concedido a los &#8220;Maestros de ni os&#8221; o &#8220;Maestros escuelas&#8221;, que hacen referencia a los profesores normalistas. En este sentido, en su discurso, el intelectual defiende la posici&#243;n de estos profesionales en el campo educacional buscando definir la actuaci&#243;n del profesor normalista y pedagogo. Para realizar esta investigaci&#243;n, el presente estudio utiliza como base te&#243;rica las contribuciones de Pierre Bourdieu acerca de trayectoria y campo, con el objetivo de analizar el lugar ocupado por Pilotto en el medio educacional.]]></p></abstract>
