Neste sentido o que expomos são os resultados das investigações em torno do projeto desenvolvido em rede &#8220;Formação e Trabalho de Professoras e Professores Rurais no Brasil: RS, PR, SP, MG, RJ, MS, MT, MA, PE, PI, SE, PB, RO (décadas de 40 a 70 do século XX)&#8221;, bem como trabalhos desenvolvidos nesta mesma perspectiva, no México. A escolha pelos dois países está associada a seu protagonismo como polos de experimentação de novas políticas e iniciativas voltadas à expansão do acesso à educação formal no subcontinente latino-americano a partir da segunda metade do século XX. O resultado revela as incongruências da formação escolar rural que em certa medida foi guiada pelos acordos internacionais comandados pelos Estados Unidos, assim como se constituiu também como resultado de experiências singulares e locais.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This article presents the main aspects of the research works that make up the dossier &#8220;Rural education in a comparative perspective: schooling policies, training experiences and teaching work (Brazil and Mexico, 20th century)&#8221;. In this sense, what we present are the results of investigations around the project developed in a network &#8220;Training and Work of Rural Teachers and Teachers in Brazil: RS, PR, SP, MG, RJ, MS, MT, MA, PE, PI, SE , PB, RO (40&#8217;s to 70&#8217;s of the 20th century)&#8221;, as well as works developed in this same perspective, in Mexico. The choice of the two countries is associated with their role as centers of experimentation of new policies and initiatives aimed at expanding access to formal education in the Latin American subcontinent from the second half of the 20th century onwards. The result reveals the incongruities of rural schooling, which to a certain extent was guided by international agreements commanded by the United States, as well as constituted as a result of singular and local experiences.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Este texto presenta los principales aspectos de los trabajos de investigación que componen el dossier &#8220;La educación rural en perspectiva comparada: políticas de escolarización, experiencias de formación y trabajo docente (Brasil y México, siglo XX)&#8221;. En este sentido, lo que presentamos son los resultados de investigaciones en torno al proyecto desarrollado en red &#8220;Formación y Trabajo de Profesores y Maestras Rurales en Brasil: RS, PR, SP, MG, RJ, MS, MT, MA, PE, PI, SE, PB, RO (décadas de los 40 a los 70 del siglo XX)&#8221;, así como trabajos desarrollados en esta misma perspectiva, en México. La elección de los dos países está asociada a su papel como centros de experimentación de nuevas políticas e iniciativas destinadas a ampliar el acceso a la educación formal en el subcontinente latinoamericano a partir de la segunda mitad del siglo XX. El resultado revela las inconsistencias de la escolarización rural, que en cierta medida estuvo guiada por acuerdos internacionales comandados por Estados Unidos, así como también fue un resultado de experiencias singulares y locales.]]></p></abstract>
