A busca resultou em 188 trabalhos que problematizam o desinteresse escolar, os quais foram classificados em nove categorias: resgate histórico do conceito; desinteresse por área do conhecimento; metodologias para o enfrentamento do desinteresse; sentidos da escola para os jovens; relação entre professor e aluno; representações docentes; implicações do desinteresse na atividade docente; desinteresse associado ao fracasso escolar; desinteresse ligado a aspectos sociais. Foi possível inferir que o desinteresse envolve múltiplas dimensões que demandam a proposição de currículos que levem em consideração a realidade e diversidade dos estudantes.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The article aims to present a literature review on lack of interest in school in Latin America in the period 2007&#8211;2021, mapping theses, dissertations and scientific jornals in Portuguese and Spanish in the portals Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Google Scholar, RedALyC and in the Coordination for the Improvemente of Higher Education Personnel (Capes) catalog. The search resulted in 188 articles that problematize lack of interest in school, classified into nine categories: historical retrieval of the concept; lack of interest in the area of knowledge; methodologies for dealing with lack of interest; meanings of the school for young people; teacher-student relationship; teaching representations; implications of lack of interest for the teaching activity; lack of interest associated with school failure; lack of interest linked to social aspects. It was possible to infer that lack of interest involves multiple dimensions that demand the proposition of curricula that take into account the reality and diversity of students.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN El artículo tiene como objetivo presentar una revisión de la literatura sobre el desinterés escolar en América Latina en el período 2007-2021, mapeando tesis, disertaciones y artículos de revistas en portugués y español en Scielo, Google Scholar, RedALyC y Capes Catalog. La búsqueda resultó en 188 trabajos que problematizan el desinterés escolar, los cuales fueron clasificados en nueve categorías: rescate histórico del concepto; falta de interés en el área del conocimiento; metodologías para hacer frente al desinterés; sentidos escolares para los jóvenes; relación maestro-alumno; representaciones de maestros; implicaciones de la falta de interés por la actividad docente; desinterés asociado al fracaso escolar; desinterés ligado a aspectos sociales. Fue posible inferir que el desinterés involucra múltiples dimensiones que exigen la proposición de currículos que tengan en cuenta la realidad y diversidad de los estudiantes.]]></p></abstract>
