En la presente investigación, se identifican los diferentes significados asociados al concepto intuitivo de la probabilidad, tomando como referencia algunos documentos de la historia de la estadística. Se utiliza la noción del significado de un concepto matemático desde el análisis didáctico, a través de sus tres componentes: estructura conceptual; registros de representación; y fenomenología. El método del análisis de contenido se aplicó a 5 documentos que describen el desarrollo histórico de la estadística. Como resultado, se han identificado como significados de referencia términos como fenómeno aleatorio y conceptos como la equiprobabilidad, como representación el lenguaje ordinario. En todos los casos, estos componentes toman sentido en el contexto de los juegos de azar.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The intuitive ideas of probability that arose through Pascal&#8217;s and Fermat&#8217;s contributions at the end of the Modern Age remain valid, promoting the meanings associated with them in the curricula of the different educational levels. In this research, the different meanings associated with the intuitive concept of probability are identified, taking the history of statistics as a reference. The notion of the meaning of a mathematical concept is used from didactic analysis through its three components: conceptual structure; representation records; and phenomenology. The content analysis method was applied to 5 documents that describe the historical development of statistics. As results, terms such as random phenomenon and concepts such as equiprobability, as a representation of ordinary language, have been identified as reference meanings. In all cases, these components make sense in the context of games of chance.]]></p></abstract>
