O estudo teve origem em meio a debates e embates travados na rede municipal no contexto das discussões sobre a Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC) ao longo do ano de 2017. O texto analisa e discute as continuidades e descontinuidades das políticas curriculares do município com base na análise de documentos oficiais e entrevistas realizadas com professores que atuaram ao longo de três gestões municipais entre 2005 e 2016. Com apoio em aportes das teorias críticas do currículo, sustenta-se o argumento de que memórias curriculares se configuram como patrimônio público que deve ser preservado como forma de resistência aos ataques à democracia produzidos no atual cenário das políticas de educação no Brasil.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article is the result of a research work that aimed to rescue curricular memories of Santo André, municipality located int the Greater ABC Paulista Region of São Paulo. The study took place during debates and clashes held within this municipal education system in the context of discussions on the Common National Curricular Base (BNCC) throughout 2017. The article examines and discusses the continuities and discontinuities of curricular policies through analysis of official documents and interviews with teachers who worked between 2005 and 2016 in three different municipal administrations. Drawing on contributions from critical theories of curriculum, it is emphasized that curricular memories are public goods that must be preserved as a form of resistance to the attacks against democracy that are taking place in the current scenario of Brazilian educational policies.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Este artículo es resultado de una investigación que tuvo como objetivo recuperar las memorias curriculares de Santo André, municipio ubicado en la región del Gran Paulista ABC, São Paulo. El estudio se originó en medio de debates y enfrentamientos que se dieron al interior de este sistema educativo municipal en el marco de las discusiones sobre la Base Curricular Nacional Común (BNCC) a lo largo de 2017. El artículo examina y discute las continuidades y discontinuidades de las políticas curriculares a través del análisis de documentos oficiales y entrevistas con docentes que trabajaron entre 2005 y 2016 en tres administraciones municipales diferentes. A partir de las contribuciones de las teorías críticas del currículo se destaca que las memorias curriculares son bienes públicos que deben ser preservados como una forma de resistencia a los ataques contra la democracia que se están produciendo en el escenario actual de las políticas educativas brasileñas.]]></p></abstract>
