Realizamos entrevistas orais baseadas nos procedimentos da história oral temática e buscamos construir um diálogo entre os registros orais e as fontes documentais, como documentos curriculares e bibliografias sobre o tema. Utilizamos a abordagem qualitativa somada à perspectiva teórica intercultural crítica e os estudos decoloniais. Procuramos pensar como a história e a cultura africana e afro-brasileira foram inseridas na escola lócus de pesquisa. Notamos as práticas e imaginários racistas que estiveram e ainda estão presentes na escola e os desafios enfrentados pelos professores. O caminho para uma implementação efetiva ainda é longo, mas transformações importantes têm ocorrido, inclusive para a decolonização dos saberes e práticas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article analyzes the implementation of Brazil&#8217;s Federal Law 10.639/03 into basic education in the city of Poconé, in Mato Grosso, through history, arts, and Portuguese teachers&#8217; knowledge and practices. The research was conducted through oral interviews, based on thematic oral history procedures, combining oral records to documentary sources, such as curricular documents and subject bibliography; through qualitative approach, critical and intercultural theoretical perspectives, and decolonial studies; and thinking about how African and Afro-Brazilian history and culture were inserted into the lócus of research. This research hás highlighted racist practices and imaginaries that persist in the school; the challenges faced by the teachers; and that the path to the law&#8217;s effective implementation is still long, although important changes have taken place, such as the decolonization of knowledge and practices.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El escrito analiza La aplicación de La Ley Federal n. 10.639/03 de educación básica en Poconé/MT, a partir de saberes y prácticas de profesores de Historia, Arte y Lengua Portuguesa. Se hicieron entrevistas orales, basadas em herramientas de historia oral temática, construyendo un diálogo entre registros orales y fuentes documentales, como documentos curriculares y bibliografías sobre la temática. Usando um abordaje cualitativo junto a la perspectiva teórica intercultural crítica y los estúdios decoloniales. Pensando cómo La historia, la cultura africana y afro-brasileña fueron introducidas em La escuela donde se hizo la pesquisa. Se notó que lãs prácticas e imaginarios racistas, estuvieron y aún están presentes y también los desafíos que enfrentanlos maestros. El camino de una implementación efectiva es largo; pero, han ocurrido importantes transformaciones, incluso para La decolonización de los saberes y prácticas.]]></p></abstract>
