No documento, foi realizada a busca por objetivos sobre números, relações e operações. Esses objetivos, entretanto, não abrangem a riqueza de saberes matemáticos presentes no cotidiano infantil. Viu-se também a ausência de possibilidades de reflexão, problematização e, sobretudo, fundamentação teórica sobre senso numérico na BNCC-EI. Discutiu-se a relevância desses aspectos para a instrumentalização de um professor mediador, capaz de construir novos objetivos e estratégias de ensino que conectem a matemática às múltiplas vivências das crianças.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article aimed to relate theoretical evidence on early numerical skills with what is predicted by the National Curricular Common Base for Early Childhood Education. The document specified objectives regarding numbers, relations and operations. These, however, do not reach the potential of mathematical knowledge present in children's daily lives. It was also found a lack of possibilities for reflection, problematization and, above all, theoretical foundations on number sense in the BNCC-EI. It was discussed the relevance of these aspects for the instrumentalization of a mediating teacher, able to build new objectives and strategies for teaching that connect mathematics to the multiple experiences of children.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Este artículo se propuso relacionar las evidencias señaladas en la literatura con lo que es previsto en la Base Común del Currículo Nacional para la Educación Infantil. El documento especifica objetivos sobre números, relaciones y operaciones. Estos no abarcan la riqueza de conocimientos matemáticos presentes en la vida cotidiana de los niños. También faltan reflexión, problematización y, sobre todo, una base teórica para la aritmética en el BNCC-EI. Se discutió la relevancia de estos aspectos para la formación de un profesor mediador, capaz de construir nuevos objetivos y estrategias de enseñanza que conecten las matemáticas con las múltiples experiencias de los niños.]]></p></abstract>
