O estudo foi desenvolvido em institui&#231;&#227;o de contraturno social de uma cidade paranaense que atende 250 crian&#231;as e adolescentes em situa&#231;&#227;o de risco. Os dados foram coletados em entrevistas realizadas com os pais ou com outros respons&#225;veis por essas crian&#231;as e adolescentes (N=60). A descri&#231;&#227;o das RS circulantes fundamenta-se na an&#225;lise das informa&#231;&#245;es, imagens e atitudes fornecidas pelos entrevistados. A pesquisa revela que a escola &#233; vista como utilidade futura para o trabalho; o contraturno &#233; tido como extens&#227;o de casa e coadjuvante na educa&#231;&#227;o moral dom&#233;stica; e o processo educacional dom&#233;stico &#233; compreendido como corre&#231;&#227;o dos erros e desvios morais.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This article describes the Social Representations (SR) that parents of children and adolescents have of the role of family, school and social after school care and of moral development. The study was developed in social after school care institutions in a city in the State of Paran&#225; which attend 250 at-risk children and adolescents. Data was collected in interviews carried out with the parents or other adults in charge of these children and adolescents (N=60). The description of most common SR was based on the analysis of information, images and attitudes supplied by the interviewees. The research revealed that the school is seen as something useful in the future for work purposes; the after school care is seen as an extension of the home care and ancillary of the domestic moral education; and the domestic educational process is seen as correction of errors and moral deviations.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen: El art&#237;culo describe las representaciones sociales (RS) de los padres de ni&#241;os y adolescentes sobre el papel de la familia, la escuela y contraturno sociales y sobre el desarrollo moral. El estudio se desarroll&#243; en instituci&#243;n de contraturno social de una ciudad de Paran&#225; que atiende 250 ni&#241;os y adolescentes en situaci&#243;n de riesgo. Los datos fueron recogidos en las entrevistas con los padres o con otros responsables por estos ni&#241;os y adolescentes (N=60). La descripci&#243;n de las RS corrientes se basa en el an&#225;lisis de las informaciones, im&#225;genes y actitudes fornecidas por los encuestados. La investigaci&#243;n muestra que la escuela es mirada como un futuro beneficio para el trabajo; el contraturno es considerado como extensi&#243;n del hogar y coadyuvante en la educaci&#243;n moral dom&#233;stica; y el proceso educativo dom&#233;stico es comprehendido como correcci&#243;n de los errores y desviaciones morales.]]></p></abstract>
