O livro em quest&#227;o &#233; fruto de um trabalho rigoroso, voltado a subsidiar a tomada de decis&#245;es e &#224; escolha de procedimentos &#233;ticos nas diversas situa&#231;&#245;es implicadas nas pesquisas em Educa&#231;&#227;o. A perspectiva &#233;tica com que operam as autoras &#233; aquela concebida como uma postura reflexiva de cuidado com o outro, e, por conseguinte, a &#233;tica na pesquisa &#233; entendida como a capacidade de avaliar situa&#231;&#245;es ao longo de toda a investiga&#231;&#227;o e tomar decis&#245;es que levem em conta os direitos, o bem-estar e as expectativas do participante da pesquisa. As autoras n&#227;o desconhecem e tampouco desqualificam a perspectiva principialista da &#233;tica Biom&#233;dica, mas reconhecem os limites da pretens&#227;o de universalidade dos enquadramentos pr&#233;-determinados diante da variabilidade dos contextos culturais espec&#237;ficos onde as pesquisas s&#227;o conduzidas. A relev&#226;ncia dessa publica&#231;&#227;o no Brasil est&#225; relacionada, sobretudo, &#224; escassez de literatura no formato de livro autoral que aborde, com organicidade, as quest&#245;es que v&#227;o desde a regula&#231;&#227;o at&#233; a dimens&#227;o da eticidade, como parte intr&#237;nseca da forma&#231;&#227;o do pesquisador em Educa&#231;&#227;o. O livro vem em boa hora, sobretudo neste momento da pol&#237;tica cient&#237;fica brasileira, quando j&#225; contamos com uma normativa (Resolu&#231;&#227;o N&#186; 510/2016) voltada &#224; especificidade das Ci&#234;ncias Sociais e Humanas. No entanto, ainda vivemos uma transi&#231;&#227;o incompleta para estabilizar par&#226;metros adequados &#224;s pesquisas da &#225;rea. A abertura para o di&#225;logo internacional, nesse contexto, &#233; fundamental para o amadurecimento do debate, a troca de experi&#234;ncias com os colegas pesquisadores de outros pa&#237;ses e a avalia&#231;&#227;o de outros modelos institucionais.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This work aims to present the recently published Brazilian edition of the book Ethics and Education research, written by Rachel Brooks (UK), Kitty te Riele (Australia) and Meg Maguire (UK), and start a dialogue with this work from the Brazilian context. The book in question is the result of a rigorous work, aimed at subsidizing decision-making and the choice of ethical procedures in the various situations involved in education research. The authors deal with the ethical perspective that is conceived as a reflexive attitude of care with the other, and therefore, the ethics in research is understood as the capacity to evaluate situations throughout the investigation and make decisions that take rights, well-being and expectations of the research participant into consideration. The authors do not ignore or disqualify the principlism perspective of Biomedical ethics, but they recognize the limits of the pretension of the universality of predetermined frameworks in relation to the variability of specific cultural contexts where research is conducted. The relevance of this publication in Brazil is related, in particular, to the scarcity of literature in the form of an authorial book that organically approaches the issues ranging from regulation to the dimension of ethics, as an intrinsic part of the researcher&#8217;s education. The book comes in good time, especially at this moment of the Brazilian scientific policy when we already have a regulation (Resolution No. 510/2016) focused on the specificity of the Social and Human Sciences. However, we are still experiencing an incomplete transition to stabilize appropriate parameters to this area of research. Openness to international dialogue, in this context, is fundamental for a more mature debate, the exchange of experiences with fellow researchers from other countries and the evaluation of other institutional models.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen: Este trabajo tiene como objetivo presentar la reci&#233;n lanzada edici&#243;n brasilera del libro&#201;tica e pesquisa em Educa&#231;&#227;o, de autor&#237;a de Rachel Brooks (Reino Unido), Kitty te Riele (Australia) y Meg Maguire (Reino Unido), e iniciar un di&#225;logo con esta obra desde el contexto brasilero. El libro en cuesti&#243;n es fruto de un trabajo riguroso, acompa&#241;a la toma de decisiones y el escoger los procedimientos &#233;ticos en las diversas situaciones implicadas en la investigaci&#243;n en educaci&#243;n. La perspectiva &#233;tica con que operan las autoras es aquella concebida como una postura reflexiva de cuidado con el otro, y, por consiguiente, la &#233;tica en la investigaci&#243;n es entendida como la capacidad de evaluar situaciones a lo largo de toda la investigaci&#243;n y tomar decisiones que tenga en cuenta los derechos, el bienestar y las expectativas del participante de la investigaci&#243;n. Las autoras no desconocen y tampoco descalifican la perspectiva principalista de la &#233;tica Biom&#233;dica, es m&#225;s reconocen los l&#237;mites de la pretensi&#243;n de universalidad de los encuadramientos pre-determinados dentro de la variabilidad de los contextos culturales espec&#237;ficos donde las investigaciones son llevadas a cabo. La relevancia de esta publicaci&#243;n en Brasil est&#225; relacionada, sobretodo, por la escasez de literatura en formato de libro autoral que aborde, con organicidad, las cuestiones que van desde la regulaci&#243;n hasta la dimensi&#243;n de la eticidad, como parte intr&#237;nseca de la formaci&#243;n del investigador en educaci&#243;n. El libro llega en buena hora, sobretodo en este momento de la pol&#237;tica cient&#237;fica brasilera, cuando ya contamos con una normativa (Resoluci&#243;n N&#186; 510/2016) sobre las Ciencias Sociales y Humanas. Sin embargo, a&#250;n vivimos una transici&#243;n incompleta para establecer par&#225;metros adecuados a las investigaciones del &#225;rea. La apertura para el di&#225;logo internacional, en este contexto, es fundamental para la madurez del debate, el intercambio de experiencias con los colegas investigadores de otros pa&#237;ses y la evaluaci&#243;n de otros modelos institucionales. ]]></p></abstract>
