Foi realizada uma pesquisa documental que teve como fontes seu manuscrito vencedor do Concurso de Contribuições para o Método Nacional de Educação Física, realizado pela Divisão de Educação Física em 1943, bem como artigos relativos à temática publicados pelo intelectual durante a década de 1940. A análise pontuou a crítica assídua do intelectual ao Método Francês, bem como uma aproximação ao ideário escolanovista a fim de sustentar sua posição de que a Educação Física deveria ser tratada como parte integrante da Educação e não mais como um problema clínico e/ou interesse militar. Em seu modelo educacional, foi identificada a valorização da figura do professor e a união de vários campos do conhecimento, com especial destaque para as humanidades, na busca por se contemplar o educando em sua totalidade.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article analyzes the Bio-socio-psycho-philosophical concept of Physical Education proposed by Inezil Penna Marinho, establishing a relationship between the subjective dimension, expressed in its constituent elements, and the objective dimension, as translated into its proposal for the National Physical Education Method. Documentary research was conducted using as sources his winning manuscript in the Contest for Contributions to the National Method of Physical Education, held by the Physical Education Division in 1943, as well as articles on the subject published by the intellectual during the 1940s. The analyzes highlighted the intellectual&#8217;s assiduous criticism of the French Method, as well as an approach to the New School ideology in order to support his position that Physical Education should be treated as an integral part of Education and no longer as a clinical problem and/or military interest. In his educational model, it was identified the valorization of the figure of the teacher, as well as the union of various fields of knowledge, with special emphasis on the humanities, in the quest to contemplate the student as a whole.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El artículo analiza la concepción Bio-socio-psico-filosófica de Educación Física propuesta por Inezil Penna Marinho, estableciendo relación entre las dimensiones subjetiva, expresada en sus elementos constituyentes, y objetiva, traducida en su propuesta para el Método Nacional de Educación Física. Se realizó una investigación documental que tuvo como fuentes su manuscrito ganador del Concurso de Contribuciones al Método Nacional de Educación Física, realizado por la División de Educación Física en 1943, así como artículos relativos a la temática publicados por el intelectual durante la década de 1940. El análisis destacó la asidua crítica del intelectual al Método Francés, así como una aproximación a la ideología de la Escuela Nueva para sustentar su posición de que la Educación Física debería ser tratada como parte integrante de la Educación y no más como un problema clínico y/o de interés militar. En su modelo educativo, se identificó la valorización de la figura del profesor, así como la unión de diversos campos del conocimiento, con especial destaque en las humanidades, en la búsqueda de contemplar al alumno en su totalidad.]]></p></abstract>
