A obra constituiu-se numa síntese das ações protagonizadas pelo intelectual durante sua atuação na Escola de Professores de Curitiba e no Instituto Pestalozzi, no período de 1938 a 1947. A ação nesses espaços permitiu à Pilotto atuar no campo educacional, integrando a cultura e a educação na formação de uma cultura geral para os professores. Essa concepção teve como uma de suas fontes a interlocução das concepções educacionais do filósofo italiano Giovanni Gentile, que foram ressignificadas pelo intelectual em suas obras e iniciativas no campo educacional paranaense. As leituras dadas pelo intelectual às teses de Gentile motivaram-no a conceber a formação de professores, apoiado em uma ampla cultura geral e não em uma formação baseada apenas na prática. Para alcançar os objetivos desta investigação, será utilizada a teoria praxiológica de Bourdieu, o que permitirá analisar as interações do intelectual no campo educacional.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The present article aims to explore the book Serena School Practice that has been written in 1946 by the intellectual Erasmo Pilotto from Paraná (1910-1992), showing the role given to culture and self-education as educational principles. The book constituted a synthesis of actions carried out by the intellectual during the time he worked in the School of Teachers of Curitiba and in the Pestalozzi Institute from 1938 to 1947. The action in these spaces allowed Pilotto to act in the educational field, integrating culture and education in the formation of a general culture for teachers. This conceptualization had as one of its sources the educational interlocution of the Italian philosopher Giovanni Gentile conceptions which were resignified by the intellectual in his books and initiatives in the educational field of Paraná. The reading comprehension of the intellectual on Gentile&#8217;s theses motivated him to conceive a teacher formation supported by a broad general culture and not in the formation based only in practice. In order to reach the objectives of this investigation, the praxeological theory of Bourdieu will be used, which will allow analyzing the interactions of the intellectual in the educational field.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El presente artículo pretende explorar la obra Práctica de la Escuela Serena, escrita en 1946, por el intelectual paranaense Erasmo Pilotto (1910-1992), mostrando el papel dado a la cultura ya la autoeducación como principios educativos. La obra se constituyó en una síntesis de las acciones protagonizadas por el intelectual durante su actuación en la Escuela de Profesores de Curitiba y en el Instituto Pestalozzi, en el período de 1938 a 1947. La acción en esos espacios permitió a Pilotto actuar en el campo educativo, integrando la cultura y la educación en la formación de una cultura general para los profesores. Esta concepción tuvo como una de sus fuentes la interlocución de las concepciones educativas del filosofo italiano Giovanni Gentile, que fueron resignificadas por el intelectual en sus obras, e iniciativas en el campo educativo paranaense. Las lecturas dadas por el intelectual a las tesis de Gentile lo motivaron a concebir la formación de profesores apoyados en una amplia cultura general y no en una formación basada apenas en la práctica.
