Trata-se de uma investigação de cunho qualitativo e exploratório-descritivo. Os métodos utilizados foram a revisão bibliográfica e um estudo de caso. O campo de estudo foi um Curso Superior Tecnológico (CST) em Design e os discentes do referido curso constituíram o público-alvo da investigação. No estudo de caso utilizou-se o questionário on-line para coletar os dados. Dada a natureza qualitativa dos dados, utilizou-se o método dos &#8220;núcleos de significação&#8221; para analisá-los. Três núcleos de significações de Estética foram identificados: 1) Estética é aparência; 2) Estética como categorias estéticas; 3) Estética como conhecimento sensível. A presente pesquisa, ao identificar as significações de estética segundo a visão dos discentes de um curso superior de Design, oferece meios para compreender e estruturar uma educação Estética que permita integrar a Estética, o Design e a Educação, com vistas a educar esteticamente o homem para desenvolver a sua liberdade.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This research aimed to identify the meanings of Aesthetics among students of a higher degree in Design, in view of Aesthetic Education. This is a research of a qualitative and exploratory-descriptive nature. The methods used were the bibliographic review and a case study. The field of study was a Superior Technological Course (CST) in Design and the students of said course constituted the target audience of the research. In the case study the online questionnaire was used to collect the data. Given the qualitative nature of the data, the "meaning nuclei" method was used to analyze them. Three nuclei of meanings of Aesthetics were identified: 1) Aesthetics is appearance; 2) Aesthetics as aesthetic categories; 3) Aesthetics as sensitive knowledge. The present research, by identifying the meanings of aesthetics according to the vision of the students of a superior course in Design, offers means to understand and structure an Aesthetic education that allows integrating Aesthetics, Design and Education, with a view to aesthetically educate the man to develop their freedom.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Esta investigación tuvo por objetivo, identificar las significaciones de Estética junto a discentes de un curso superior de Diseño, teniendo en vista la Educación Estética. Se trata de una investigación de cuño cualitativo y exploratorio-descriptivo. Los métodos utilizados fueron la revisión bibliográfica y un estudio de caso. El campo de estudio fue un Curso Superior Tecnológico (CST) en Diseño y los discentes de dicho curso constituyeron el público objetivo de la investigación. En el estudio de caso se utilizó el cuestionario en línea para recoger los datos. Dada la naturaleza cualitativa de los datos, se utilizó el método de los "núcleos de significación" para analizarlos. Se identificaron tres núcleos de significados de Estética: 1) Estética es apariencia; 2) Estética como categorías estéticas; 3) Estética como conocimiento sensible. La presente investigación, al identificar las significaciones de estética según la visión de los alumnos de un curso superior de diseño, ofrece medios para comprender y estructurar una educación estética que permita integrar la estética, el diseño y la educación, con miras a educar estéticamente al hombre para desarrollar su libertad.]]></p></abstract>
