Tendo como referência o estudo comparado em educação, empregou-se a pesquisa documental, a partir de documentos normativos da referidas políticas, bem como a pesquisa bibliográfica, por meio de estudos realizados no campo. Entre os resultados, constatou-se o alinhamento das estratégias de financiamento do Programa Mais Educação e das Escuelas de Tiempo Completo às orientações que sustentaram as reformas educacionais da década de 1990, seja pela busca da ampliação da jornada escolar sem o aumento dos recursos financeiros para a área; ou pelo financiamento a partir de empréstimos junto a organizações financeiras internacionais.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This work aims to analyze, comparatively, the financing strategies for policies to extend the school day in Brazil, through the Programa Mais Educação (PME), and in Uruguay, through the Escuelas de Tiempo Completos (ETCs). Taking the comparative study in education as a reference, documentary research was used, based on normative documents of the aforementioned policies, as well as bibliographical research, through studies carried out in the field. Among the results, it was noted the alignment of the financing strategies of the PME and the ETCs with the guidelines that supported the educational reforms of the 1990s, whether through the search for expanding the school day without increasing financial resources for the area; or through financing from loans from international financial organizations.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar, comparativamente, las estrategias de financiamiento de las políticas de extensión de la jornada escolar en Brasil, a través del Programa Mais Educação (PME), y en Uruguay, a través de las Escuelas de Tiempo Completo (ETCs). Teniendo como referencia el estudio comparado en educación, se utilizó la investigación documental, basada en documentos normativos de las políticas mencionadas, así como la investigación bibliográfica, a través de estudios realizados en el campo. Entre los resultados, se destacó el alineamiento de las estrategias de financiamiento del PME y de las ETCs con los lineamientos que sustentaron las reformas educativas de la década de 1990, ya sea a través de la búsqueda de ampliar la jornada escolar sin aumentar los recursos financieros para estas politicas; o mediante financiación procedente de préstamos de organismos financieros internacionales.]]></p></abstract>
