A pesquisa caracteriza-se pela metodologia de investiga&#231;&#227;o dos M&#233;todos Mistos (CRESWELL e CLARK, 2013) e foi desenvolvida a partir dos dados dispon&#237;veis no s&#237;tio eletr&#244;nico da CAPES, referente aos programas de p&#243;s-gradua&#231;&#227;o, e da Plataforma Lattes. Dos 3.598 egressos pesquisados, evidenciou-se um pequeno n&#250;mero de pesquisadores que titularam no mestrado e doutorado logo ap&#243;s a gradua&#231;&#227;o. Quase 1/3 dos pesquisados titulou no doutorado entre 10 e 15 anos ap&#243;s a gradua&#231;&#227;o. Cerca de 15% realizou o doutorado entre 20 e 25 anos ap&#243;s a gradua&#231;&#227;o. Constatamos que menos de 25% dos pesquisados estava com orienta&#231;&#245;es de mestrado em andamento no ano de 2013 e menos de 10% v&#234;m contribuindo com a forma&#231;&#227;o de novos doutores. Acreditamos que o desenvolvimento desta pesquisa, in&#233;dita nesta escala na &#225;rea da Educa&#231;&#227;o, pode contribuir com a avalia&#231;&#227;o das condi&#231;&#245;es de amplia&#231;&#227;o e qualifica&#231;&#227;o dos Programas e cursos; vislumbrar as atividades e o regime de trabalho dos jovens doutores em Educa&#231;&#227;o no Brasil e elaborar quadros anal&#237;ticos que possam contribuir com a proposi&#231;&#227;o de pol&#237;ticas estrat&#233;gicas de capta&#231;&#227;o e de fixa&#231;&#227;o de docentes nas regi&#245;es menos favorecidas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  This study aimed to investigate the trajectories and institutional destinations of graduates of doctoral programs in Education from Brazilian public universities in the last twelve years (2000-2012). The research is characterized as Mixed Methods (CRESWELL and CLARK, 2013) and was developed from data available in the electronic site of the CAPES, referring to graduate programs and Lattes Platform. Of the 3,598 graduates surveyed, a small number represents researchers who went straight to masters and doctorate degrees shortly after undergraduate studies. Almost one-third of respondents obtained doctorate degrees in between 10 and 15 years after graduation. About 15% held a doctorate between 20 and 25 years after graduation. We found that less than 25% of respondents were master's degree students in 2013 and less than 10% have contributed to the training of young doctors. We believe that the development of this research, unprecedented on this scale in the area of education, can contribute to the evaluation of expansion conditions and qualification programs and courses. In addition to taking a look at the activities and the working arrangements of the young doctors in Education in Brazil and prepare analytical frameworks that can contribute to the proposition of strategic funding policies and the setting of teachers in disadvantaged regions.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen  El estudio tiene como objetivo investigar la trayectoria y los destinos institucionales de los egresados de las carreras de doctorado en Educaci&#243;n de las universidades p&#250;blicas brasile&#241;as en los &#250;ltimos doce a&#241;os (2000-2012). La investigaci&#243;n se caracteriza por los M&#233;todos Mixtos (CRESWELL e CLARK, 2013) y fue desarrollada desde los datos disponibles en el sitio electr&#243;nico de CAPES, relacionado a los programas de postgrado, y de la plataforma Lattes. De los 3.598 egresados investigados, se evidenci&#243; un peque&#241;o n&#250;mero de investigadores que concluyeron el m&#225;ster y doctorado tras el grado. Casi un tercio de los investigados concluy&#243; el doctorado entre 10 y 15 a&#241;os despu&#233;s de la graduaci&#243;n. Aproximadamente el 15% realiz&#243; doctorado entre 20 y 25 a&#241;os despu&#233;s de la graduaci&#243;n. Verificamos que menos de un 25% de los investigados permanec&#237;a en orientaci&#243;n de m&#225;ster en el a&#241;o 2013 y menos de un 10% contribuye con la formaci&#243;n de nuevos doctores. Creemos que el desarrollo de esta investigaci&#243;n, sin precedentes en esta escala en el &#225;rea de Educaci&#243;n, puede contribuir con la evaluaci&#243;n de las condiciones de expansi&#243;n y calificaci&#243;n de los Programas y carreras; prever las actividades y el r&#233;gimen de trabajo de los j&#243;venes doctores en Educaci&#243;n en Brasil y elaborar cuadros anal&#237;ticos que puedan contribuir con la propuesta de pol&#237;ticas estrat&#233;gicas de captaci&#243;n y de fijaci&#243;n de profesores en las regiones menos favorecidas.]]></p></abstract>
