O objetivo desta pesquisa bibliográfica foi compreender as contribuições da didática no contexto da formação continuada do docente do ensino superior. Os desafios dos professores do ensino superior estão relacionados com a forma como organizarão a ação de lecionar para que os alunos possam compreender o que está sendo ensinado, possibilitando ao futuro professor aproximar-se de uma atuação mais satisfatória, relacionada aos conhecimentos específicos que caracterizam a área de sua atuação, bem como aos conhecimentos pedagógicos. Neste sentido, o professor deste nível de ensino deve investir na formação continuada relacionada ao campo pedagógico e compreender as possíveis contribuições da didática. Este processo de formação poderá proporcionar aos docentes, situações de reflexão sobre a sua própria ação, oportunizando a tomada de consciência do fazer pedagógico. Sendo assim, caberá ao professor esta reflexão, de modo a realizar uma docência cada vez mais comprometida com o processo de formação dos futuros profissionais.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The characteristics of the teaching work and career in higher education allow us to understand teaching objectives, challenges, and commitments. This bibliographic research sought to understand the contributions of Didactics in the continuing education of professors. Professors face different challenges as to organizing pedagogical practice to enable the learning process. In this sense, professors should invest in continuing education related to the pedagogical field, as well as to understand the possible contributions of Didactics, which will allow them to reflect upon their own practice, thus increasing awareness of the pedagogical practice and providing a more satisfactory performance. Thus, such a reflection will make professors more and more committed to training future professionals.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen A través de los aspectos que caracterizan el trabajo y la carrera docente en la educación superior, es posible comprender los objetivos, desafíos y compromisos de la docencia. El objetivo de esta investigación bibliográfica fue comprender los aportes de la Didáctica en el contexto de la formación continua del profesorado de educación superior. Los desafíos de los docentes de educación superior están relacionados con la forma en que organizarán la acción de la docencia para que los estudiantes comprendan lo que se está enseñando, posibilitando al futuro docente tener un desempeño más satisfactorio, relacionado con los conocimientos específicos que caracterizan el área de enseñanza, tanto en su desempeño como en sus conocimientos pedagógicos. En este sentido, el docente de este nivel educativo debe invertir en la formación continua relacionada con el campo pedagógico y comprender los posibles aportes de la Didáctica. Este proceso de formación puede brindar a los docentes situaciones de reflexión sobre su propia acción, brindando oportunidades para la toma de conciencia de la práctica pedagógica. Así, corresponderá al docente esta reflexión, en aras de una docencia cada vez más comprometida con el proceso de formación de los futuros profesionales.]]></p></abstract>
