Primeiramente, exploramos o car&#225;ter humanista no seu pensamento, relacionando sua proposta &#224;s pr&#225;ticas pedag&#243;gicas que valorizam a multiculturalidade. Na segunda parte, abordamos as reflex&#245;es de Freire &#224; respeito da cultura depois do ex&#237;lio, ou seja, como ele construiu seu discurso pol&#237;tico-pedag&#243;gico a partir de uma leitura pr&#243;pria, diante das outras culturas. Para finalizar, refletimos sobre sua contribui&#231;&#227;o &#224; educa&#231;&#227;o transcultural, a partir da rela&#231;&#227;o com cinco conceitos centrais: os C&#237;rculos de (inter) Cultura, o M&#233;todo Dial&#233;tico, o Di&#225;logo, a Consci&#234;ncia Cr&#237;tica e as Palavras Geradoras. ]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article seeks to relate the ideas of Paulo Freire, while humanist thinker, to the issue of cultural diversity. First, we will explore the humanistic character of his thinking, making a link between his proposal and the pedagogical practices that values multiculturalism. In the second part, we will approach Freire's reflections about the culture after the exile, i.e., how he built his political-pedagogical discourse from a reading of its own, in front of other cultures. And finally, we will discuss his contribution to the transculturality of education, based on the relation with five central concepts: Circles of (Inter) Culture, the Dialectical Method, Dialogue, Critical Conscience and Generating Words. ]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen En este art&#237;culo, intentaremos relacionar las reflexiones de Paulo Freire, en tanto que pensador humanista sobre la cuesti&#243;n de la diversidad cultural. En primer lugar, vamos explorar el car&#225;cter humanista de su pensamiento, para relacionar su propuesta con las pr&#225;cticas pedag&#243;gicas que promueven la multiculturalidad. En la segunda parte, se discuten las reflexiones de Freire a respecto de la cultura despu&#233;s de su exilio, es decir, c&#243;mo se construy&#243; su discurso pol&#237;tico-pedag&#243;gico desde una lectura de su vida, en frente de otras culturas. Por &#250;ltimo, reflexionaremos sobre su contribuci&#243;n a la educaci&#243;n transcultural, a partir de la relaci&#243;n con los cinco conceptos centrales: C&#237;rculos de (inter) Cultura, m&#233;todo dial&#233;ctico, el di&#225;logo, la Conciencia Cr&#237;tica y las Palabras Generadoras. ]]></p></abstract>
