A escolha deste objeto de pesquisa se justifica pela emerg&#234;ncia de uma nova realidade pol&#237;tico-econ&#244;mica no pa&#237;s, o que imp&#245;e a necessidade de repensar a escola e suas fun&#231;&#245;es sociais. Assim, a partir da experi&#234;ncia analisada, mostramos ind&#237;cios de surgimento de uma nova concep&#231;&#227;o de escola, baseada em uma estrutura comunit&#225;ria, ou mesmo de comunidades de aprendizagem, transcendendo o cl&#225;ssico bin&#244;mio professor-aluno e incorporando novos sujeitos ensinantes e aprendentes. A compreens&#227;o dos dados torna latente a import&#226;ncia de repensar o significado dos espa&#231;os e do tempo, n&#227;o s&#243; da escola, mas tamb&#233;m das fam&#237;lias e das comunidades no atual contexto social.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This article proposes a reflection upon the public policies in education with regard to the experiences on full-time education - more specifically, on the process of extension and use of school-educational time, carried out in Apucarana/PR. The choice of this research object is justified by the emergence of a new political-economic reality in the country, which imposes the need to rethink school and its social functions. Thus, from the analyzed experience, the emergence of a new concept of school was noticed. This concept is based on a communitarian structure, or on learning communities, and it transcends the classic teacher-student dichotomy, including new learning-teaching individuals. In order to understand the data, it is important to rethink the meaning of time and space, not only in school, but also in families and communities from the social context.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN El art&#237;culo propone una reflexi&#243;n acerca de las pol&#237;ticas p&#250;blicas de educaci&#243;n en lo que se refiere a experiencias en la tem&#225;tica de la Educaci&#243;n Integral y de la Educaci&#243;n en Tiempo Integral, m&#225;s espec&#237;ficamente, trata del proceso de ampliaci&#243;n y utilizaci&#243;n del tiempo educativo-escolar en el caso dela ciudad de Apucarana/PR. La selecci&#243;n del objeto de investigaci&#243;n se justifica por la emergencia de una nueva realidad pol&#237;tico-econ&#243;mica en el pa&#237;s, lo que impone la necesidad de repensar la escuela y sus funciones sociales. As&#237;, a partir de la experiencia analizada se puede se&#241;alar la emergencia de una nueva concepci&#243;n de escuela, basada en la estructura comunitaria o de las comunidades de aprendizaje, transcendiendo el cl&#225;sico binomio maestro-alumno e incorporando nuevos sujetos ense&#241;antes y aprendientes. La comprensi&#243;n de los datos muestra la importancia latente de repensar el significado de los espacios y de los tiempos, no s&#243;lo de la escuela, pero tambi&#233;n de las familias y de las comunidades en el contexto social.]]></p></abstract>
