Nesse contexto, colocamos o professor como objeto de estudo, por meio da memória e da representação dos estudantes que escolheram seguir a carreira docente. Nosso objetivo foi compreender o que tornou um professor inesquecível para estudantes do curso de Pedagogia. Para desenvolver o trabalho, utilizamos o método fenomenológico e nos fundamentamos na História Cultural. Os dados foram tratados à luz da análise de conteúdo, com 104 participantes. Os resultados indicam para a figura de um professor exigente.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT In the school environment, expectations are established for both teachers and learners. In this context, we focus on the teacher as the subject of study, through the memories and perceptions of students who chose to pursue a teaching career. Our aim was to understand what made a teacher unforgettable for students in the Pedagogy program. To develop this work, we employed the phenomenological method and grounded our research in Cultural History. The data were analyzed through content analysis, involving 104 participants. The findings indicate the presence of a demanding teacher.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN En el entorno escolar, se establecen expectativas tanto para quienes enseñan como para quienes aprenden. En este contexto, centramos nuestra atención en el profesor como objeto de estudio, a través de la memoria y la representación de los estudiantes que eligieron seguir la carrera docente. Nuestro objetivo fue comprender qué hizo que un profesor fuera inolvidable para los estudiantes del programa de Pedagogía. Para desarrollar este trabajo, utilizamos el método fenomenológico y nos fundamentamos en la Historia Cultural. Se analizaron los datos de 104 participantes a través del análisis de contenido. Los resultados indican la figura de un profesor exigente.]]></p></abstract>
