O estudo objetiva apresentar considerações sobre o método do Materialismo Histórico-Dialético e suas contribuições para a realização da pesquisa científica na área da educação. Metodologicamente, trata-se de um estudo teórico-bibliográfico com base em obras de autores como Gatti (1999, 2012); Marx e Engels (1999); Oliveira (1998); Netto (2011); Groppo (2019); Almeida e Costa (2021); Silva e Hermida (2021), dentre outros. Os autores mencionados apresentam uma perspectiva crítica acerca da concepção de mundo, sociedade e educação, possibilitando pensarmos a construção da pesquisa científica orientada por um método que define também uma escolha política. Nesse sentido, o ato de pesquisar constitui-se como um processo desafiador enfrentado por muitos pesquisadores, principalmente pela compreensão do objeto de estudos e na definição do método de investigação, portanto, conclui-se que o Materialismo Histórico-Dialético possibilita pensarmos a construção da pesquisa científica na área da educação com base em uma perspectiva crítica, constituindo-a como ato político.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article is the result of studies carried out in the elective course entitled Historical-Dialectic Materialism: for a methodological understanding, carried out in the Graduate Program in Education (PPGE) of the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM), in the line of research Education, State and Society in the Amazon. The study aims to present considerations about the Historical-Dialectic Materialism method and its contributions to the realization of scientific research in the field of education. Methodologically, it is a theoretical-bibliographical study based on works by authors such as Gatti (1999, 2012); Marx and Engels (1999); Oliveira (1998); Netto (2011); Groppo (2019); Almeida e Costa (2021); Silva and Hermida (2021), among others. These authors present a critical perspective on the conception of the world, society, and education, making it possible to think about the construction of scientific research guided by a method that also defines a political choice. In this sense, the act of researching constitutes a challenging process faced by many researchers, mainly due to the understanding of the object of study and the definition of the investigation method, therefore, it is concluded that Historical-Dialectic Materialism makes it possible to think about the construction of scientific research in education based on a critical perspective, constituting it as a political act.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Este artículo es resultado de estudios realizados en la asignatura optativa Materialismo histórico-dialéctico: para una comprensión metodológica, realizado en el Programa de Posgrado en Educación (PPGE) de la Universidad Federal de Amazonas (UFAM), en la línea de investigación Educación, Estado y Sociedad en la Amazonia. El estudio tiene como objetivo presentar consideraciones sobre el método del Materialismo Histórico-Dialéctico y sus aportes a la realización de investigaciones científicas en el campo de la educación. Metodológicamente se trata de un estudio teórico-bibliográfico basado en trabajos de autores como Gatti (1999, 2012); Marx y Engels (1999); Oliveira (1998); Neto (2011); Grupo (2019); Almeida y Costa (2021); Silva y Hermida (2021), entre otros. Los autores antes mencionados presentan una perspectiva crítica sobre la concepción del mundo, la sociedad y la educación, permitiendo pensar en la construcción de la investigación científica guiada por un método que define también una opción política. En este sentido, el acto de investigar constituye un proceso desafiante que enfrentan muchos investigadores, principalmente por la comprensión del objeto de estudio y la definición del método de investigación, por lo que se concluye que el Materialismo Histórico-Dialéctico posibilita pensar. sobre la construcción de la investigación científica en el área de la educación a partir de una perspectiva crítica, constituyéndola como un acto político.]]></p></abstract>
