<self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S1984-64442022000100239&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S1984-64442022000100239&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S1984-64442022000100239&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[RESUMO Focalizando o atual cenário de aceleradas transformações tecnológicas ocorridas nos processos comunicacionais, este estudo tem como propósito central refletir sobre os efeitos que as chamadas novas mídias e tecnologias têm produzido sobre os modos de configuração dos brinquedos e doato de brincar nos dias atuais. O artigo está organizado em três seções: primeiramente destaca-se a vinculação da cultura infantil às mídias; na segunda seção examina-se a trajetória de uma marca de brinquedos; e, por último, registram-se &#8220;outros modos&#8221; de brincar e de pensar sobre as infâncias emergentes no contexto sociocultural contemporâneo. Compreende-se que as modificações ocorridas relativamente às interações com os aparatos tecnológicos estenderam-se aos &#8220;modos de brincar&#8221;, pois as crianças, frequentemente, estão &#8220;conectadas&#8221; às diferentes mídias, intercalando em suas brincadeiras o &#8220;real&#8221; e o &#8220;virtual&#8221;. Entende-se, também, queos significados atribuídos ao brincar foram expandidos nas novas formas de brincar, estando essas cada vez mais associadas a ações de consumo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Focusing on the current scenery of quick technological changes and communication processes, this study aims to reflect upon effects the so-called new media and technologies have produced on toys and ways of playing. This article is organised in three sections: first we highlight children&#8217;s culture distribution in media; on the second section we examine a toy brand route; and finally we keep track of &#8216;other ways&#8217; of playing and thinking about emergent childhoods in contemporary social and cultural context. We understand that changes of interactions with technological devices have also covered the &#8216;ways of playing&#8217;, because children often play while &#8216;connected&#8217; to different media, switching between the &#8216;real&#8217; and &#8216;virtual&#8217;, so that meanings assigned to playing were expanded in the new ways of playing and more and more in tune with consumer culture.]]></p></abstract>
