Os participantes do estudo foram os professores da área de Educação Física, atuantes no programa investigado, além dos familiares dos alunos participantes. Foram utilizados dois roteiros de entrevistas semiestruturadas e uma matriz de observação sistemática. Foi realizada análise de conteúdo, tendo auxílio do software N-vivo - 10.0 para organização dos dados. Constatou-se que o professor de Educação Física é essencial no trabalho com pessoas com TEA, pois sua qualificação possibilita maior socialização, por meio de atividades baseadas em estratégias da área.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This field research, descriptive and exploratory, of a qualitative nature, investigated the role of the Physical Education professional in the work with people with ASD in a sports and leisure program in Florianópolis (SC). The participants of the study were Physical Education professionals, active in the investigated program, besides the relatives of the participating students. Two semi-structured interview scripts and a systematic observation matrix were used. Content analysis was performed, using N-vivo software - 10.0 to organize the data. It was found that the Physical Education professional is essential in working with people with ASD, since their qualification allows greater socialization, through activities based on area strategies.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Esta investigación de campo, descriptiva y exploratoria, de naturaleza cualitativa, investigó el papel del profesional de Educación Física en la actuación con personas con TEA en un programa de deporte y ocio de Florianópolis (SC). Los participantes del estudio fueron los profesionales del área de Educación Física, actuantes en el programa investigado, además de los familiares de los alumnos participantes. Se utilizaron dos guiones de entrevistas semiestructuradas y una matriz de observación sistemática. Se realizó análisis de contenido, para la organización de los datos. Se constató que el profesional de Educación Física es esencial en el trabajo con personas con TEA, pues su calificación posibilita mayor socialización, a través de actividades basadas en estrategias del área.]]></p></abstract>
