A gest&#227;o das escolas p&#250;blicas no Brasil vem se modificando nas &#250;ltimas d&#233;cadas em decorr&#234;ncia da implanta&#231;&#227;o de modelos gerenciais na administra&#231;&#227;o p&#250;blica. Foi realizada pesquisa bibliogr&#225;fica sobre a gest&#227;o escolar no Brasil. A pesquisa emp&#237;rica foi realizada por meio de entrevistas com diretores de escolas p&#250;blicas de um munic&#237;pio no interior de S&#227;o Paulo, com o objetivo de captar informa&#231;&#245;es referentes &#224; organiza&#231;&#227;o da escola e ao trabalho do diretor. Os dados da pesquisa demonstraram uma grande influ&#234;ncia do gerencialismo na gest&#227;o das escolas p&#250;blicas brasileiras.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract:  In this article it was aimed to analyze the influence of the managerialist in the management of Brazilian public schools, verifying to what extent this new tendency has modified the organization of the school and the work of the director. The management of public schools in Brazil has been changing in recent decades due to the implementation of management models in public administration. A bibliographic research was conducted on school management in Brazil. The empirical research was carried out through interviews with directors of public schools in the interior S&#227;o Paulo, in order to obtain information regarding the organization of the school and the work of the director. The research data showed a great influence of managerialism in the management of Brazilian public schools.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen: Este art&#237;culo tiene como objetivo estudiar la influencia del gerencialismo en la gesti&#243;n de las escuelas p&#250;blicas brasile&#241;as, verificando en qu&#233; medida esta nueva tendencia modifica la organizaci&#243;n de la escuela y el trabajo del director. Una gesti&#243;n de las escuelas p&#250;blicas no Brasil se ha modificado en las &#250;ltimas d&#233;cadas en la elaboraci&#243;n de los modelos gerenciales en la administraci&#243;n p&#250;blica. Fue realizada b&#250;squeda bibliogr&#225;fica sobre una gesti&#243;n escolar no Brasil. Una investigaci&#243;n emp&#237;rica fue realizada por medio de entrevistas con directores de escuelas p&#250;blicas de un municipio en S&#227;o Paulo con el objetivo de captar informaci&#243;n referente a la organizaci&#243;n de la escuela y el trabajo del director.
