Aponta as ocorr&#234;ncias e as contradi&#231;&#245;es e fortalece os pressupostos que comp&#245;em a gest&#227;o democr&#225;tica, visando &#224; educa&#231;&#227;o emancipat&#243;ria. As ideias de Theodor Adorno sobre a educa&#231;&#227;o emancipat&#243;ria e a literatura brasileira sobre a gest&#227;o escolar democr&#225;tica fundamentam a an&#225;lise das contradi&#231;&#245;es dessa forma de organizar as rela&#231;&#245;es de poder no contexto escolar. Adorno (1995) enfatiza o v&#237;nculo entre o processo emancipat&#243;rio e a democracia, pois ambos implicam na conscientiza&#231;&#227;o do indiv&#237;duo sobre sua condi&#231;&#227;o heter&#244;noma. Segundo o autor, a luta pela transforma&#231;&#227;o da sociedade pressup&#245;e a convers&#227;o da impot&#234;ncia em pot&#234;ncia, ou seja, em objeto de seu pensamento e de suas a&#231;&#245;es.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract:  This text discusses democratic management in the Brazilian education system. It shows the occurrences and contradictions and strengthens the assumptions that make up the democratic management, aiming at emancipatory education. The ideas of Theodor Adorno on emancipatory education and the Brazilian literature on democratic school management serve as the basis for the analysis of the contradictions of this way of organizing the power relations in the school context. Adorno (1995) highlights the connection between the emancipatory process and democracy, for both of them imply the individual&#8217;s awareness of his heteronomous condition. According to the author, the hard work for the transformation of society presupposes the conversion of impotence into power, that is, into object of his thought and his actions.]]></p></abstract>
