A Educação do Campo tem se constituído como objeto de interesse da História da Educação no Brasil? A resposta à pergunta é construída a partir do mapeamento da produção historiográfica sobre a Educação do Campo em seus 20 anos de existência e da identificação dos objetos, sujeitos, contextos espaço-temporais, fontes, categorias de pesquisa, perspectivas teórico-metodológicas e referenciais presentes nas produções/publicações. A pesquisa é de natureza bibliográfica e bibliométrica, delimitada às publicações em periódicos brasileiros de História da Educação, no período de 2008 a 2020. A conclusão é de que a Educação do Campo ainda não se constitui como objeto marcante nas publicações divulgadas nos periódicos de História da Educação, ao passo que a Educação Rural tem lugar consolidado na área.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This article results from research on the historiographic characteristics of productions/publications which address Rural Education from a historical perspective or from History of Education quality. Has Rural Education been constituted as an object of interest in the History of Education in Brazil? The answer to the question is built from the mapping of historiographic production on Rural Education in its 20 years of existence and the identification of objects, subjects, spatiotemporal contexts, sources, research categories, theoretical-methodological perspectives and references present in productions/publications. The research is bibliographical and bibliometric in nature, limited to publications in Brazilian journals of History of Education, from 2008 to 2020. The conclusion is that Rural Education is not yet a prominent object in publications published in journals of History Education, while Rural Education has a consolidated place in the area.]]></p></abstract>

La respuesta a la pregunta se construye a partir del mapeo de la producción historiográfica sobre Educación Rural en sus 20 años de existencia y la identificación de objetos, sujetos, contextos espaciotemporales, fuentes, categorías de investigación, perspectivas teórico-metodológicas y referencias presentes en producciones / publicaciones. La investigación es de naturaleza bibliográfica y bibliométrica, limitada a publicaciones en revistas brasileñas de Historia de la Educación, de 2008 a 2020.
