<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en">
Abstract: From some remarks on the state of the art of Brazilian politics, democracy and Justice, this paper resorts to kafkian literature in its description of the functioning of the justice machine and the way in which law operates by reaching everyone to disassemble the juridical procedures and, humorously, evidence the magistrates’ impetus and vanity. Such aspects trigger a metamorphosis of Justice itself, which ends up becoming the “Goddess of the Hunt”, hence the question that both entitles and guides this paper. It is necessary to address justice in its relation to politics and democracy, which are liable to misunderstanding as they involve the dispute of worlds. In order to do that, the difference between politics and police, as determined by Rancière, is approached together with both what he defined as democracy and the principle of equality, a manifestation of the disagreement that disturbs the sensitive, organized world, divided into positions and functions.
</abstract>
