Isso se deve, principalmente, ao escasso conhecimento sobre as vacinas e doenças contra as quais protegem. Nesse sentido, o objetivo desta pesquisa foi analisar uma experiência de ensino com 28 estudantes do ensino médio. Como metodologia, foi utilizada uma sequência didática desenhada a partir dos princípios da pesquisa-ação, que abordou o tema vacinação, problematizando a educação em saúde individual e coletiva e a apropriação do conhecimento imunológico. Diante dos dados, verificou-se que a abordagem metodológica empregada provocou maior interesse, motivação e participação dos alunos, diferentemente do que, geralmente, acontece em aulas com abordagens de ensino tradicional. Além disso, foi possível explorar, de forma mais efetiva, as questões menos compreendidas e estimular a autonomia dos discentes no que tange à construção do conhecimento.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Several studies in Brazil point out a decrease in vaccination coverage among teenagers. This is mainly due to the lack of knowledge about vaccines and the diseases they protect. In this sense, this research aimed to analyze a teaching experience with 28 high schoolers. As a methodology, we used a didactic sequence drawn from research-action principles, which approached the theme of vaccination, questioning education in individual and collective health, and the appropriation of immunology knowledge. Based on these data, we found that the methodological approach used raised more interest, motivation, and students' participation, differently from what typically occurs in classes with a traditional approach. Besides this, we could explore less understood issues more effectively and stimulate students' autonomy regarding knowledge construction.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen En Brasil, varios estudios apuntan a una reducción de la cobertura de vacunación entre los adolescentes. Esto se debe principalmente al desconocimiento sobre las vacunas y las enfermedades contra las que protegen. En este sentido, el objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar una experiencia docente con 28 estudiantes de la secundaria. Como metodología se utilizó una secuencia didáctica diseñada con base en los principios de la investigación-acción, que abordó el tema de la vacunación, problematizando la educación en salud individual y colectiva y la apropiación del conocimiento inmunológico. Teniendo en cuenta los datos, se encontró que el enfoque metodológico utilizado provocó un mayor interés, motivación y participación de los estudiantes, a diferencia de lo que generalmente ocurre en clases con enfoques de enseñanza tradicionales. Además, fue posible explorar de manera más efectiva temas menos comprendidos y fomentar la autonomía de los estudiantes con relación a la construcción del conocimiento.]]></p></abstract>
