Tais obras circularam por escolas prim&#225;rias e secund&#225;rias do Brasil, no per&#237;odo compreendido entre a segunda metade dos Oitocentos e o in&#237;cio da segunda metade dos Novecentos. Circula&#231;&#227;o que compreendeu quase um s&#233;culo. Tal an&#225;lise foca alguns caracteres (roupagens) que proporcionaram a um projeto se materializar, transformando-se em objeto cultural. Dessas roupagens, privilegiar-se-&#225; a metodologia. Ao que tudo indica, essa trilogia disseminou um modo de ensinar aritm&#233;tica que se configurou, naquele contexto, como inovador e modernizador. Interessa saber: Como o autor pensou o ensino de aritm&#233;tica? Que 'roupagem' metodol&#243;gica de ensino ficou denominada inovadora e modernizadora para o ensino de aritm&#233;tica?]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Here is presented the analysis of a trilogy Arithmetic. Such works have circulated for primary and secondary schools in Brazil, in the period between the second half of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the second half of the nineteen hundreds. Movement which comprised nearly a century. This analysis focuses on some characters (garments) that provided a project materialize, becoming a cultural object. These garments methodology will focus herself. Apparently, this trilogy spread a way of teaching Arithmetic that is configured in that context, as an innovator and modernizer. Question arises: How does the author thought the teaching of Arithmetic? That methodological 'guise' of education was called for innovative and modernizing the teaching of Arithmetic?]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Se presenta aqu&#237; el an&#225;lisis de una trilog&#237;a Arithmetica. Estas obras circularon por las escuelas primarias y secundarias de Brasil en el per&#237;odo comprendido entre la segunda mitad de los Ochocientos y el comienzo de la segunda mitad de los Novecientos. Circulaci&#243;n que comprendi&#243; casi un siglo. Este an&#225;lisis se centra en algunos personajes (ropaje) que proporcionaron un proyecto de materializar, convirti&#233;ndose em un objeto cultural. De estos ropajes se privilegiar&#225; la metodolog&#237;a. Al parecer, de esta trilog&#237;a se extendi&#243; una manera de ense&#241;ar Aritm&#233;tica que se configur&#243;, en aquel contexto, como innovador y modernizador.
