Para tanto, entende-se esta fonte como um manual didático construído para ser utilizado em cursos de formação de professores pela América Latina, atendendo aos propósitos de divulgar e de uniformizar determinado discurso interpretativo acerca da realidade latino-americana.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The 1962 manual La sociedad y la educación en América Latina, by Robert Havighurst, of the University of Chicago, is the object and main source of analysis of this article, that aims to analyze and reflect on the discourses built about education and society projects engendered for Latin America, thought within Unesco (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). Therefore, this source is understood as a didactic manual built to be used in teacher training courses in Latin America, taking into account the purposes of disseminating and standardizing a certain interpretive discourse about the Latin American reality.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El manual La sociedad y la educación en América Latina, de 1962, de autoría principal de Robert Havighurst, de la Universidad de Chicago, es objeto y fuente principal de análisis de este artículo, que tiene como objetivo analizar y reflejar sobre los discursos creados a respecto de los proyectos de educación y de sociedad, engendrados para la América Latina, pensados en el interior de la Unesco (Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, Ciencia y Cultura). Por lo tanto, se entiende esta fuente como un manual didáctico hecho para ser utilizado en cursos de formación de profesores por la América Latina, teniendo en cuenta los propósitos de difundir y estandarizar un determinado discurso interpretativo sobre la realidad latinoamericana.]]></p></abstract>
