Contudo, os altos &#237;ndices de evas&#227;o escolar apresentados nestes cursos motivaram a realiza&#231;&#227;o de pesquisa com o intuito de desvendar os fatores que conduzem os alunos &#224; evas&#227;o. A pesquisa faz uma an&#225;lise hist&#243;rica sobre a condu&#231;&#227;o da educa&#231;&#227;o profissional no Brasil mediante revis&#227;o bibliogr&#225;fica e documental sobre o tema. Dessa forma, busca-se demonstrar, neste texto, que a condu&#231;&#227;o das pol&#237;ticas p&#250;blicas para a educa&#231;&#227;o profissional exacerba a dualidade da escola. Por&#233;m, essa dualidade gera contradi&#231;&#245;es entre as quest&#245;es objetivas e aquelas subjetivas constru&#237;das pela ideologia disseminada pelas pol&#237;ticas p&#250;blicas e a&#231;&#245;es governamentais em rela&#231;&#227;o &#224; educa&#231;&#227;o profissional. Essas contradi&#231;&#245;es acabam desnudando a inferioridade social da educa&#231;&#227;o profissional e desestimulam a perman&#234;ncia dos alunos nos cursos. A igualdade jur&#237;dica imposta pela legisla&#231;&#227;o entre os n&#237;veis de educa&#231;&#227;o procura mediar a emerg&#234;ncia dessas contradi&#231;&#245;es. Contudo, apesar da igualdade jur&#237;dica, a igualdade social n&#227;o &#233; alcan&#231;ada na implementa&#231;&#227;o das pol&#237;ticas p&#250;blicas, o que se traduz em elevado &#237;ndice de evas&#227;o escolar.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Since the 1990s, higher education technology courses in Brazil have greatly expanded the offer of courses and places. However, the high dropout rates presented in these courses led to a research in order to uncover the factors that lead students to dropout. Through literature review and desk research, this study makes a historical analysis of how professional education is conducted in Brazil. This paper seeks to demonstrate that the implementation of public policies for professional education exacerbates the school&#8217;s duality. However, such duality generates contradictions between subjective and objective issues produced by the ideology disseminated by public policies and government actions in relation to vocational education. These contradictions end up unveiling the social inferiority of vocational education and discourage students from remaining in the courses. The legal equality between educational levels seeks to mediate the emergence of these contradictions. However, despite legal equality, social equality is not achieved in the implementation of public policies, leading to a high dropout rate.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen  Desde la &#250;ltima d&#233;cada del siglo XX, los cursos superiores de tecnolog&#237;a en Brasil han presentado una enorme expansi&#243;n en relaci&#243;n al n&#250;mero de cursos y lugares ofrecidos. Sin embargo, las altas tasas de deserci&#243;n que se presentan en estos cursos motivaron la investigaci&#243;n con el fin de descubrir los factores que llevan a los estudiantes a la deserci&#243;n escolar. La investigaci&#243;n hace un an&#225;lisis hist&#243;rico de la conducci&#243;n de la educaci&#243;n profesional en Brasil a trav&#233;s de revisi&#243;n bibliogr&#225;fica y documental sobre el tema. As&#237;, tratamos de demostrar en este trabajo que la implementaci&#243;n de pol&#237;ticas p&#250;blicas para la educaci&#243;n profesional exacerba la dualidad de la escuela. Sin embargo, esta dualidad genera contradicciones entre las cuestiones objetivas y subjetivas construidas por la ideolog&#237;a difundida por las pol&#237;ticas p&#250;blicas y las acciones del gobierno en relaci&#243;n con la formaci&#243;n profesional. Estas contradicciones terminan revelando la inferioridad social de la formaci&#243;n profesional y desestimulan la permanencia de los estudiantes en los cursos. La igualdad jur&#237;dica impuesta por la legislaci&#243;n entre los niveles de la educaci&#243;n pretende mediar la aparici&#243;n de estas contradicciones. Sin embargo, a pesar de la igualdad jur&#237;dica, la igualdad social no se logra en la implementaci&#243;n de las pol&#237;ticas p&#250;blicas, lo que se traduce en una alta tasa de deserci&#243;n escolar.]]></p></abstract>
