A pesquisa teve como foco as rela&#231;&#245;es entre Educa&#231;&#227;o Ambiental e as possibilidades de forma&#231;&#227;o pol&#237;tica e constru&#231;&#227;o da cidadania em contextos nos quais o uso intensivo de agrot&#243;xicos &#233; parte da realidade cotidiana de uma determinada popula&#231;&#227;o. As principais quest&#245;es de pesquisa est&#227;o voltadas para tentativas de compreender quais os significados atribu&#237;dos por educadores de uma comunidade agr&#237;cola sobre a quest&#227;o do uso de agrot&#243;xicos nas lavouras, e ainda, que justificativas e argumentos sustentam os seus depoimentos e suas considera&#231;&#245;es sobre tais pr&#225;ticas. A abordagem hist&#243;rico-cultural orientou o processo de produ&#231;&#227;o, sistematiza&#231;&#227;o e an&#225;lise dos dados, a partir de entrevistas com quatro agentes sociais envolvidos em atividades de Educa&#231;&#227;o Ambiental em um munic&#237;pio do interior paulista no qual a principal atividade econ&#244;mica est&#225; relacionada com pr&#225;ticas de produ&#231;&#227;o agr&#237;cola intensivas. A constru&#231;&#227;o de sentidos a partir da an&#225;lise das entrevistas permitiu-nos a proposi&#231;&#227;o de quatro n&#250;cleos de significa&#231;&#227;o. Neste artigo, dedicaremos especial aten&#231;&#227;o ao n&#250;cleo referente ao modelo de produ&#231;&#227;o agr&#237;cola e ao uso de agrot&#243;xicos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT From the the first author&#8217;s master thesis, we try to explore in this article aspects related to construction processes in possible ways on the relation between education and the intensive use of pesticides for agricultural production. The research focused on the relation between Environmental Education and the possibilities for political education and empowerment in contexts where the intensive use of pesticides is a part of the everyday reality of a population. The main research questions are focused on attempts to understand the meanings attributed by educators of a farming community on the issue of using pesticides on crops, and also what justifications and arguments support their statements and their consideration on such practices. The historical-cultural approach guided the production process, organization and analysis of data from interviews with four social agents involved in activities of environmental education in a city in the interior where the main economic activity is related to intensive farming practices. The construction of meaning from the analysis of the interviews allowed us to propose four meaning cores. In this article, we will devote special attention to the core related to the model of agricultural production and the use of pesticides.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN A partir de la tesis de maestr&#237;a del primer autor, tratamos de explorar en este art&#237;culo los aspectos relacionados con la construcci&#243;n procesos manera posible en la relaci&#243;n entre la educaci&#243;n y el uso intensivo de pesticidas para la producci&#243;n agr&#237;cola. La investigaci&#243;n se centr&#243; en la relaci&#243;n entre la Educaci&#243;n Ambiental y las posibilidades de educaci&#243;n pol&#237;tica y el empoderamiento en contextos donde el uso intensivo de pesticidas es parte de la realidad cotidiana de una poblaci&#243;n determinada. La investigaci&#243;n se centra en los intentos por comprender los significados atribuidos por los educadores de una comunidad agr&#237;cola en el tema de la utilizaci&#243;n de plaguicidas en los cultivos, y tambi&#233;n que las justificaciones y argumentos apoyan sus declaraciones y su consideraci&#243;n de este tipo de pr&#225;cticas. El enfoque hist&#243;rico-cultural guiado el proceso de producci&#243;n, organizaci&#243;n y an&#225;lisis de los datos de las entrevistas con cuatro agentes sociales que participan en actividades de educaci&#243;n ambiental en una ciudad del interior, donde la principal actividad econ&#243;mica est&#225; relacionada con las pr&#225;cticas de producci&#243;n agr&#237;cola intensiva. La construcci&#243;n de sentido a partir del an&#225;lisis de las entrevistas permiti&#243; proponer cuatro n&#250;cleos de sentidos. En este art&#237;culo, vamos a prestar especial atenci&#243;n a la base con respecto a la producci&#243;n agr&#237;cola de modelo y el uso de pesticidas.]]></p></abstract>
