Apresento os resultados de uma observação de sala de aula. Os referenciais teóricos utilizados são referenciais da educação antirracista de Gillborn (1995). Os resultados da pesquisa demonstram que a maneira de ensinar da professora pode enviar várias mensagens para seus/suas alunos/as, maneiras essas que refletem o contexto socio-cultural brasileiro. Concluo que há uma necessidade de um tempo longo de formação continuada sobre o tema raça/etnia para que os professores se sintam melhor preparados para abordar o tema raça/etnia.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article presents reflections about anti-racist education and the results of research carried out with teachers discussing race/ethnicity in the classroom. I present the results of observation of one teacher in the classroom. The theoretical frameworks used are anti-racist education of Gillborn (1995). The research results show that the way in which teachers teach can send multiple messages to their students that reflect the Brazilian socio-cultural context. I conclude that there has long been a need for continuing education on the subject of race/ethnicity so that teachers feel better prepared to address the issue]]></p></abstract>
