Para tanto, utilizou-se uma abordagem exploratória e descritiva elegendo as dimensões financiamento, oferta, gestão educacional e controle social (Fogecs) como grupos categóricos. Os resultados obtidos demonstraram que o processo de percepção do papel do conselho e da efetivação das práticas de acompanhamento e controle social guarda simetria com a dimensão financiamento e assimetrias em relação às dimensões da oferta, gestão educacional e controle social.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This research aims to investigate actions of monitoring and social control by Instances of Social Control (ICS) of the accounting fund responsible for the financial support of basic education (Fundeb). It uses an exploratory and descriptive approach guided by techniques as strategies for identification and correlation of the practices implemented by the ICS with the categorical groups proposed in the study related to categories financing, offer, educational management and social control (Fogecs). It searches inferences regarding the role and contribution this collegiate retains symmetry with the financing dimension and asymmetries in relation to the offer, educational management and social control dimensions.]]></p></abstract>
