Apreende-se a percepção de que os humanos e não-humanos partilham a condição de sujeito, diferente do antropocentrismo impresso na cosmologia das sociedades industriais. Sob a fenomenologia de Merleau-Ponty e o interpretativismo de Clifford Geertz é revelado como o mito ensina significados que são incorporados na relação com o mundo, configurando uma diferente epistemologia. Panará é um povo indígena do tronco linguístico Jê, habitante da Terra Indígena Panará, em Guarantã do Norte (MT) e Altamira (PA).]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This article interprets mythical narratives of Panará people elucidating its pedagogical dimension in formation of ideas, values and feelings related to nature. Seizes the perception that humans and non-humans share the condition of subject, as opposed to anthropocentrism printed in the cosmology of industrial societies. In the phenomenology of Merleau- Ponty and Clifford Geertz interpretativism are revealed how myth teaches meanings that are embedded in the relationship with the world, configuring a different epistemology. Panará is an indigenous people of Jê linguistic stem, inhabitant of the Panará indigenous land in Guarantã do Norte (MT) and Altamira (PA).]]></p></abstract>
