Para tanto foram aplicados question&#225;rios em 171 professores de escolas p&#250;blicas da educa&#231;&#227;o b&#225;sica. Esta pesquisa fez parte de um curso de extens&#227;o ofertado a professores de escolas p&#250;blicas, por militantes do movimento negro da regi&#227;o e docentes da Universidade Federal de S&#227;o Carlos (UFSCar) - Campus Sorocaba, no segundo semestre de 2012. A reflex&#227;o sobre os dados se referenciou nas Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais para a Educa&#231;&#227;o das Rela&#231;&#245;es &#201;tnico-Raciais e para o Ensino de Hist&#243;ria e Cultura Afro-Brasileira e Africana e alguns autores que tomam a forma&#231;&#227;o como discuss&#227;o. Dentre os resultados provis&#243;rios podemos elencar: a percep&#231;&#227;o de uma t&#237;mida inser&#231;&#227;o da quest&#227;o &#233;tnico-racial na forma&#231;&#227;o dos professores a partir da Lei 10639/03 e a inexist&#234;ncia da discuss&#227;o ind&#237;gena nos processos; o tipo de forma&#231;&#227;o e muito pontual, em vezes reducionistas e sem acompanhamento da pr&#225;tica, caracterizando-se por cursos ministrados distantes da pr&#225;tica cotidiano; e por &#250;ltimo a potencialidade de processos formativos vinculados aos movimentos negros da regi&#227;o em quest&#227;o.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article presents and analyzes results from a survey on the initial and continuing teacher educa tion in the Region of Sorocaba, SP, in relation to history and culture african-Brazilian. There fore Questionnaires were administered to 171 public school teachers of basic education. This research was part of a extension course off ered to teachers in public schools, by militants of the region's black and faculty Universidade Federal de S&#227;o Carlos Universidade Federal de S&#227;o Carlos (UFSCar) - Campus Sorocaba, in the second half of 2012. Reflection on the data referenced in the National Curriculum Guidelines for the Education of Racial-Ethnic Relations and the Teaching of History and Afro-Brazilian and African and some authors who take training as discussion. Among the preliminary results we can list: the perception of a shy insertion of ethnic-racial issue in teacher training from the Law 10639/03 and the lack of discussion on indigenous processes, the type of training and very punctual, on time and without reductionist monitoring of practice, characterized by courses away from everyday practice, and finally the potential of formative processes linked to black movements in the region concerned.]]></p></abstract>
